could bolt the flange on the head and support the rest in place and tack it up, then weld it fully off the car?
hoping that the welding process doesn't (as it always does ) pull it out of shape...
Thats the plan mate, I won't be welding any of the header tubes until the engine is back in the car, and it will all be tacked up in it's final posions. If tacked in enough places it should'nt move much but I'm sure it will try and be a pain in the arse! As for jigs, yes they do, but they also want £200 more if they weld it, and I thought I'd use my credit crunch beating welding skillz to save a hefty pile of beer vouchers
