Well, as my head is coming back soon, I figured I better get cracking on making a go of finishing off my cage. Just got to get the damn electrical connector on the bulkhead to let go. Carefully prising it up with a pry bar just resulted in cracking plastic. So I decided to come back to that later and finished off all the unfinished welds on the cage (I realise now why they were left in the first place, yes you guessed it, because they were all the ones that were c*ntish to get at!Angry ) Still need to do the turret to A pillar tubes, but I need that multi plug out of the way first and it's bieng a stubborn bas**rd.

This is about the first thing I have done on the actual car itself in about 9 months and all the unpainted bits of cage have gone a bit rusty, so looks like I'll need some elbow grease and a few strips of emery paper.

I also need to choose a fuel tank, cut a hole in the floor, fabricate a box and let it into the floor so I can site the fuel tank as low as possible. Any suggestions as to what sort of size tank in terms of litres I should be looking to get?

Do you have any pics of the PAS pump relocation kit fitted? That is something I have overlooked with my bike bodies and just want to see how/where it fits.

Going to test fit them first to see but the backing plates are quite wide arrnt they LOL

Nothing that shows the kit itself, just some that show the space left behind once you use it. Its basicly some nice brackets that bolt onto some unused lugs on the sump. You need an auto tensioner and a shorter belt too if you have a Wallye.

i am sure mine was more than that Unsure

think them bonnet hinges may have to go LOL tough getting the wiring back in and wiper motor that's for sure!

did you cut slots out of the steering column housing before welding? (so it will remove in future - if the dash bar passes through it, it won't! - had this on mine Doh)

shh Razz don't want people knowing about the engine relocation project you are about to embark on LOL

front tubes do let you get the motor and wiring in without cutting anything but you will need to absolutely push the motor to its limit on the rubber corners to get it in. i used a crowbar the first time and now it goes in a bit easier
