Right, thought I'd better show you what went wrong with my engine. As suspected it's spun a bearing. No.2 con-rod bearing as it happens. It had spun it so badly that both bearing shells were overlapping and that was why the engine had virtually siezed solid

The mains appear to have survived, but the crank has some nice deep scores where the con-rod was going metal to metal with no bearing to protect it. Looking at a few of the others it would appear that they were'nt too far behind either. Looking back I don't remember my oil guage ever reading that high before but just after she died she was reading 120 degrees, that is a fair bit too much I think as it's not supposed to get much above 100 ideally. It was'nt that high on previous trackdays (in hotter conditions too) and it was around 110 the previous lap, I'm wondering if I just over loaded the oil and ran out of film strength?
