A few pics from the day of your rallye.

Unfortunatly being an airfield day you couldnt get too close so a lot of them are from quite a distance!

LOL Lets offroad! Can't believe how high the front end looks in those pics! I had to send the coilovers back for repair as they are making a terrible knocking noise, so I was back on my old standard shocks with Eibach 30mm lowering springs for the day, yeuch!Razz

Thanks for posting them up mate Smile

Got my coilovers back today and fitted them this evening, apparently they were too soft and were going coilbound and that was the knock I was feeling Crazy Unsure

Whatever it was it's gone now, but what I have noticed is that with 40mm of thread showing under the lowest lockring on both sides, the drivers side gap from the top of the tyre to the underside of the wheelarc lip is 15mm bigger than on the other side and I can't think why for the life of me, it sat skewed the std. shocks on too.

Yeah, funny thing was, it seemed like every second car at that trackday was on them too, very popular rim at the moment bud, you are obviously a trend setter Cool

Gutted about having to give them back, better burn off the rest of the tread at Combe and Silverstone on the 5th and 6th and get them, back to you. Can I pop up with your dosh with Dave tomorrow eve?

The Rallye is officially dead! Shock I was 5-6 laps into my first track session at Combe today when suddenly my engine developed a high frequency vibration and a squeal that then instantly beacame terminal bottom end knock. She then siezed in the pits and had to be trailered home with the AA. (Someone will be along to post up pics I'm sure) Gutted Sad

Swap in the short term, then strip the old block if the damage is'nt too terminal and rebuild for more power, just don't really need this right now. And I have two sessions booked at Trax tomorrow Angry FML

Hmmm, he was sound, turns out he has a Focus ST and is a petrolhead too, under the circumstances though I'd rather I never had to meet him at all, no offence Rob! Big grin

I know, it sounds sad but I don't feel complete without my car these days, when it was off the road for a fortnight while I was p*ssing around fitting the bodies and such I genuinely felt down. Now she is properly broken I feel really shit.

Going to have to play second-hand engine Russian roulette now too, and if that's not a recipe for disaster I don't know what is.

What do you think has caused the engine to go bang on you just like that ? surely rebuild your engine your self with your friends with the know how is going to be the best option, Then just buy a litle smoker to get to A to B
