True for less than 2k I could have 350bhp, and for what it'll cost you too forge yours berk I could get similar power but with traction too Wink

Top end your's kicks ass, less transmission losses and an extra gear certainly do help. I reckon it'll be close down the strip as i'll get a better 60 time, but your 60 to the finish line will be quicker than mine.

Hasnt been rolling roaded yet, be shall be soon enough for a deff figure.

We came to the 260bhp figure for a number of reasons, 1, My other mate (matt)with a bug eye scoob has 240bhp RR'd and marks RB5 is faster than matts, matts retains the standard prodrive exhaust setup and catm where as marks has exhaust and sports cat, 2, My other mate (daz) with 550-600bhp in the making scoob has driven both matts and marks cars iirc and he reckons it would be 260bhp

apparently the RB5s weigh 1235kg aswell, which works out at 210bhp per tonne

If mine is 1180, the figure which people seem to think our cars weigh, then if mines is 270bhp, thats 228bhp per tonne if ive worked that out right, i reckon thats about right with the way it compared against the RB5

'S alright, buggy has no trouble with traction on tarmac, it just hoicks the front wheels off the floor so you can't steer instead...

That looks like a right giggle.

I want a go. What shows will it be at this year? Being as you're up north I'll get few chances to see it otherwise!

Posted your video on an American car forum I've been a member on for years.

Trying to convince them it is awesome. Trying to explain that it's still a 2.0L is proving difficult.

EDIT-

One Australian said this -

quote:
It's not so much a lack of enthusiasm as it is a grounding in reality.

At the end of the day, that pug is front wheel drive and, most importantly, it is not going to get that guy laid

Hmmm
Unsure

I don't think they'll ever "get it" to be honest.

They think the 3.2 in the BMW M3 is a "tiny engine". It's hard work being an English member!

Any more convincing videos/photo's of wisdom I can throw at them?

I think the following video will confuse the Americans a bit.

Golf 2 0-170mph.

This car needs less then 11 secs on a quarter mile and has about 720bhp. Search for "AME-Racing" at the tube for more videos (time slips, dyno etc.). They also have a 1.8 Liter Polo with more then 1000bhp that runs the quarter mile aroud 9.5 secs. All cars are 4WD because more then 350hp on the front are senseless.
About real racing...tell them to watch some Nordschleife videos.

Sorry, didn't ment to hi-jack the thread. Great work Birk!
