This weekend coming, scrutineering Saturday, racing sunday and monday - 2 day event as it's the Simmonite Memorial trophy.

Course isn't very good though, bit too much mud plugging.

Well, we've got it misfiring like a b*tch on one rotor - think the heat buildup is boiling fuel in the rail again - had it before and thought we'd cured it but we're pushing the car harder now - ride is 10x better now I've had the rear Foxes apart for revalving so we're on the throttle longer.

Still didn't stop us from collecting 2 shiny 1st in class trophies this weekend though Big grin

Fibreglass with a nice, thin, 20mm bit of padding...

I've got a few bits of red raw skin, put it that way!

When your legs run out of travel and your arse hits the jockey seat it's the jarring on your spine thats hurts he most. Great fun, but I was'nt too sad when we developed a misfire and had to coast slowly back on two cylinders! LOL

I hope it's a fouled up plug, we ticked over for half an hour as we went up a river with a ridiculous speed limit, and it started running rough then. It cleared again once we opened up the taps later on, but came back for good once we stopped to make a phone call. Plugs are £15 platinum jobbies though so he was'nt keen to buy a set just to try, but I think he'll have to now.

I think its a coil pack, as when I was pulling leads off to find the dodgy cylinder I only got belted by two of them!

1 off the startline, looks slow as hell tbh!

Wet concrete + M/T tyres = 4s of wheelspin even feathering the throttle and setting off in 2nd gear Doh

Top of 3rd as it passes the camera is about 88mph (and it still didn't go back in time...)

Well, after thinking we'd cured the misfire it's now back with a vengance, but in a different spot - at a guess we've been unlucky and had two problems, not one, which is why it's seemed so random! Anyway, we've stripped it all back down for a check over and I've just dropped the injectors off at a local garage for checking and cleaning - hopefully it's one of those - if not I'm stumped!

Anyway, we have had some good news in that the lads at Opie Oils have offered us some sponsorship by way of a lovely discount on oil/fluids/spark plugs, etc, which is nice as the rotary likes to go through plugs and they're noramlly 120 quid or so a set...
You never know, we might be able to afford a bacon butty each at the weekends shortly! LOL

Well, Ed tried a radical new weight saving plan by taking the front wheel off on the first lap.
Didn't work as well as hoped.

By the time we'd lugged tools and parts out to fix it and limped it back to service we didn't have the time left to complete enough runs to count as a finisher.
Engine seems to be massively down on power too, I'm hoping it's a rotor seal that's stuck due to carbon buildup from our previous misfire problem, but knowing our luck it's probably cracked a rotor tip.
And to top it off I appear to have a nice case of whiplash Dry

Still, fixed the wheel at least!
