Spoke to Garry this morning - just to see if the fuel pipes fixed the issue, which it did.

He had a few bits to do still, fit the exhaust, bleed the brakes, but it should be ready for road-testing any time about now!

Should be an animal - the 250 HP conversion is quick enough in a ~1300KG 306, let alone a 205 weighing probably half that.

Dave Potter's [easypug] going for the high boost in a stripped 205 - should be awesome. Those of you who have been in my car know it's not shy, so in a car of nearly half the weight it will be ballistic Ninja

I'm just glad he's got it running, and my ECU fettling skills are up to scratch Wink

Just a very quick update as i am pushed for time!

It runs! Clapping Clapping

And it is very very fast. Superman

I haven't driven it much as there still loads of fiddly things that need finishing. I worked on it yesterday from 7am til 11pm yesterday.

Thanks all that have contributed and helped along the way. Especially Rich for designing and producing such an awesome kit.

There will be a proper update with pics and vids when I get back from the 'ring and Spa.

Garry

Fuel pipes were just the wrong way round - everything else was fine Doh

Well done to Garry. Congratulations on having the first Rotrex Supercharged 205 GTi-6!

Are you a happy man then?

I can imagine its very very fast - you'll have to take me for a ride sometime!

I'm glad it's been a success - this conversion is definitely bolt-on tuning at it's best!

I shall look forward to the vids and pics…

As for me designing and producing the kit - my pleasure! Cool

TBH yous has been a bit of a ball-ache - we had to modify the manifold, design and produce the dummy PAS at short notice etc, but we got there which is all that matters!

Big grin

Aye I heard from Crossie that you're driving it there this weekend! Brave man, first big run on a major conversion and you're taking it all the way to Germany Cool

Hope it all holds together nicely (and kicks suitable ass) Thumbs up

He is a very brave man - the car is still being finished off and it's off to Germany tomorrow!

It's now not running again - it wants to but it won't.

The ECU has been mounted in the passenger footwell, and there's a chance it's accumulated some water!

Sad

Hopefully Garry will get it sorted quick - it was running fine last night…

Unsure

Probably best if you can avoid mounting the ECU at the lowest point Garry, otherwise it's gonna act as a nice water bucket, unless you make it watertight where the wiring comes through the bulkhead.

It's running again! A box of cotton buds, a hair dryer, some small screw drivers and copious amounts of WD40 seem to have done the trick!
Car is having the exhaust welded up now as I didn't make it to DES.

Thanks for your help Rich.
