nice job, thanks for the interested thread to read.say if you have just had it all rebuilt and the head needs to come off, is another brand new gasket and bolts used, even though the gasket and bolts have only been in there for say 100 miles? ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Yea new gasket and bolts, not work taking the chance as gasket has been compressed.Picked it up last night! After an hour or so of tweeking the map on the road we trailored it back from Cornwall. Driving it is now completely different from before, acceleration above 4k rpm is really strong, felt a bit dangerous in the damp last nite. Maybe because i have been driving a 1.4 206 for the past 11 months!! ________________________________________ 2.1 16v 306 Rallye. |

pedro_de_la_cruz wrote: 226bhp from cams, throttle bodies and a 2.1 bottom end, sounds a very healthy gain there mate ![]() mines at 214bhp at the moment with pt81 cams and a btcc inlet and the difference in responsiveness is staggering at the higher rev ranges, never imagined it would ever be this good the driveability low down is no different either Still revs freely, has a nice spread of torque through the revs that helps though. Yea need to lose some more weight from it but it gets to a stage where that becomes more difficult, unless you get keen with the old grinder! ________________________________________ 2.1 16v 306 Rallye. |

I have never lined them up together, however the 1.9td crank is will fit directly to the block. So cudnt say if the counterweights are identical tbh.________________________________________ 2.1 16v 306 Rallye. |
