They are only for the GTi-6 (XU10 J4RS) engine im afraid.

They could probably be adapted to fit, but its something im not going to have anything to do with im afraid..

Not much over a thousand for the kit iirc. That's without the supercharger and without fitting and mapping Yes

just thought i'd comment here Rich, the Mi16/S16 block is identical, so all the brackets that you have produced would bolt straight on, with the exception of the ones for the sump mounted ancillary (PAS pump isnt it?) as the S16 and Mi16 generally use a steel sump, an alloy one bolts straight on.
The only other issue being the intake manifold, a gti6 one does fit though, so thats that sorted Big grin

Thats very useful, thanks.

So it looks like it will fit the S16/Mi16.

You would probably need to fit a GTi-6 loom and ECU though, if you want to use one of my EEPROMS anyway.

Im not sure if the S16/Mi16 ECU is remappable by the likes of Wayne Schofield anyway..

Crackin' progress Rich. Cool

I've just found out that I can get FORGE intercoolers at discount price via a friend.

Just wondering if any of you lot would be interested in trying to get a group buy on the TYPE 05 intercooler.

They're £222 inc' VAT, I'll be getting mine for £200ish. If I could get 4 or 5+ together, I can probably get them a bit cheaper.
You know you're getting a quality product with Forge.
Any interest in this, before I order mine?

Contact me via PM to prevent spamming Rich's thread. Wink

Zac

They look ideal Cool

FORGE have a good reputation for quality fabrication too.

Big grin

John,

Yes, they are the pistons i'm using.

They were in fact my customs pistons - I sent them a sample and paid the development costs for what you see on that web page.

Lynx Garage are suppliers of both Wossner forged pistons and rods - we hope to be the cheapest in the UK.

Wossner products are very well engineering being German, so although they are competitively priced, the quality is there.

Were hoping to be able to sell the products at the following rough prices, assuming I can get 3+ orders together, which shouldn't be a problem.

Forged Low Comp. Pistons - RRP £425 +VAT, Lynx Garage will be circa £380 +VAT
Forged steel Con-rods - RRP £599 +VAT, Lynx Garage will be circa £565 +VAT

Get a list going if you like the product and the price Big grin

thanks for that rich

forged pistons

1. puglover

On a off note, got my block stripped down now and all looks good. I need to get it rebored and then cleaned. Also got the crank out which will be sent to longmans i think, but im just wondering something. If the crank is reground on the big ends and the pistons ends then wont the block also need grinding to match or will the over size bearings accomodate for this. thanks in advance.

If you think about it if the block was ground too you'd need even thicker bearings!

The shells will undersize to suit the crank once its ground, it doesn't need line boring to take bigger shells.

The block will need boring for the pistons, the group buy will be for 86.5mm pistons, which is a light rebore to achieve perfect sealing with the new rings, but not so much as to compromise the thickness of the cylinder walls.

Big grin

Whats the price on a rebore rich? What power will the standard rods take with forged pistons?
