Hi everyone,

Recently had a gearbox change done and I have the old knackered one here almost free if anyone wants it? All I ask is you buy me a slab of beers (cans only please so I can take them to Silverstone camping . . 24x slab of Heineken or Carling)

The gearbox came off my 99 T Plate GTi-6 it had no whirring, or crunching of gears at all and always used Pug GB oil in it. It just decided over a few days to get worse and worse selecting gears then just wouldn't select any gear. I believe it to be either the selector fork or selector input shaft ? ? ? But I'm just guessing. It may be a quick fix or it could not and I make no promises what so ever with it.

If it could be used by somebody for spares or repairs come and get it. The box is the one it left the factory with many years ago.

Collection only from Faringdon SN7 2 minutes off the A420 between Swindon and Oxford.

You can only take cans to Silverstone camping? Gonna have to decant my favoured Peroni then!

If no one has taken it off your hands by then, I'll exchange it for a box of Carling, although I don't know how people drink that stuff.

I'll be at Silverstone from Thursday evening till Monday.

Forgot to mention it would have to be before Pugfest as I won't be here, I'll be at Silverstone camping over Pugfest.

Yeah only cans fella, I managed to hide my bottles from the glass bottle police lastyear but needed cans to drink over by the entertainment tents

Same as at santa pod for most stuff though we just hid ours.... then I stuffed 2 empty becks bottles up.my mates clio exhaust when he hasn't looking as as we went back through the gates on the way home and he pulled away they both fell out with a mighty CLANG LOL was f**king hillarious
