Check everything is secure check your sparks are in sounds like a slipped belt but eliminate all other possibilities As super said a vid always helps ________________________________________ BLACK RALLYE - phoenixWHITE RALLYE - valliant http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history |

It will probably start if the belt has slipped a tooth, but there will be bent valves and it will run like a pig. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

It is normal for a little bit of slack between the cams, due to they way they sit.It won't be tight tight anyhow. It has to be very slack to jump a tooth. It's worth checking: - timing - plugs - check cam sprocket bolts are tight ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

Sounds like the belt has slipped then if it's that loose.Either the tensioner will have moved or the adjustable cam pulley(s) may have come loose. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
