I changed mine to 10/50w fully synth just from reading on here seemed the preferred option so maybe i didnt need to as mines just a basic engine, but guessing you have a fairly hefty cooler? |

Blandy ...you've posted a Block pic m8 It's a unused Engine ...only run in on the Bench Dyno & I was told by Sandy that I have to use Semi 10/40 for next 3 oil changes & use a Genuine Peougeot oil filter at all times as it helps oil pressure The temps at Combe for 10 odd laps at a time were Oil Max 95-99 Water Max 85-90 Don't forget I've got open circuit sandwich plate NO thermostat & 19 row oil cooler .. Plus my water Thermostat has 20 holes drilled out by Sandy all around the outside of the metal ..but I have no metal pipe running down from the thermostat hosing / back of the Engine to the Lower hose as normal And Sandy told me to use 50/50 antifreeze & deionised water ....not tap water & dont use that Waterless crap stuff The big Alloy Water Rad seems to help also Never had my car run so cool both water & oil & Combe was crazy hot at FCS Wil Declaudio couldn't believe how well my temps were running ....ove I'm happy ... |

Thermostat rear metal bypass blanked at thermostat housing end & rear bottom hose end .... Because I have no rear engine routed metal pipe you give the water a easier route allowing the water to flow through the easiest route it's always looking for ...keeping it flowing but restricting it somewhat Basically because it had NO Heater & no rear engine metal bypass hose as well ...its directing & forcing the water with the thermostat drilled around the head better Seems to work a treat as Figures prove ? |

Definately- silly question but any pics of the routing etc of the pipes as im in a similar position running no heater but at min with a joiner to bypass which looks messy. Ive toyed with having the outlets on the stat housing brazed up just to tidy it all up |

I was doing about 139-141 at that point braking late ...& saw another gap infront of the black 106 was it ?..... He spun way after I passed just after the Essses You can hear Cullys daughter laughing ... That's interesting about the 50/50 do-ionised water and anti-freeze. It's what I have done on both my cars for years but read somewhere on the Internet a few weeks back that this isn't really recommended as the water will try to get ions from somewhere which will almost always be the aluminium that it contacts, so will corrode the head faster than say normal tap water. I still do mine this 50/50 mix way regardless. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Little update ...weighed my complete tailgate 3.8kgs ....so The Twinskin Fibreglass one with Aero catches fitted but not sprayed YET with the same but new (glass) is 1.1kgs saving 2.7kgs now that can't be sniffed at ...I'm not going for (blown molded hardshell Polycarbonate) just yet as its bloody expensive ...doesn't give stiffness to the tailgate like glass does & can lightly scratch ...Yes much much lighter but 2.7kgs saving I'm more than happy with & I get glass Free All fitted & tested & ready for my m8 to spray it as a favour owed Day666 has attached the following image: |

That looks like what I'll do if / when I ever get round to fitting mine. I'm going to bond some hinges to the top to make it easier. Having to remove the whole hatch will be a pain in the arse!________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Nice work, I've got a single skin fibreglass one to go on mine but I might get a twin skin like yours as I want to use hinges and have some form of rigidity as I'll be fitting polycarbonate to mine. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I'm hoping the polycarbonate will help strengthen mine enough that it doesn't flap around too much________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Only timed it rough on my phone GPS / video in the morning when only 4-5 cars on track & was in mid - 1.16s but getting familiar to the completely new car .... But Will Declaudio said I was much quicker in the afternoon & one lap ...I felt I was on it ....The Car had more to give but I didn't & I was Beaton up ....with no PAS fitted now .. I would love to wish /think low 1.16s but I am running DZ03Gs not Saloon championship legal ...which helps s & allows me to carry much more speed through the corners than ADO8s |
