Temp fixing ..
Got some 4mm Carbon Fibre sheet to cut and fixed some pieces under the bracket plates then screw them from the outside through the Carbon and Carbon/ Kevlar that way nothing inside the Maxi Airbox to come loose or break off and get sucked into the engine ....

Finally getting somewhere

Now to modify my bonnet for a mould with a bulge for the new design

Sad as it might read -it’s a very exciting day today ...I’m hoping the bumper will be ready by this Friday -Monday to collect? ....

The original Maxi (plus 50) bumper off Tony Palfry / Maxi Motorsport was cut about and modded loads ...bits of alloy bent and bonded and bits glued on in places it weighed 19kgs but was only made for me to test on the track with ...it would then be moulded to what I wanted and needed with the help of David Warren / General Lee on here and his Carbon Dimma splitter which I bonded on and blended in ...that was originally made for Oliver Church who had the steel winged stunning Blue Dimma which sadly was sold ...

Now hopefully I will have a super strong / stiff one piece super lightweight bumper that’s made of Carbon / Kevlar that will hopefully take a knock or two Thumbs up
Fingers crossed

Well it’s out of the mould and he’s telling me it’s super lightweight and so rigid / stiff I won’t need ties bars to the splitter ...even better
Still a fair bit to do bond the corner air ducts and support internet fixings and cut the grill out

Weighed it today

3.46kgs with no paint or Fixings
4.19 kg with everything apart from paint

I’m really happy with that Thumbs up

Instead of 19kgs for original test master one

That’s pair or Aerocatches
That’s pair of alloy USA catches
A pair of support tie bars for the splitter
A pair of inside bumper alloy support brackets and 12 bolts...

Nothing at all progress wise in mine if afraid. I’m waiting for brakes as satchell are making me some new bells/adaptors to fit the 406 hubs which fingers crossed should be early jan to be done. I need to measure the springs as need helper springs on the new coilovers, ill likely drop engine back in and then get suspension set up and do a quick test day in order to test out gear linkage and suspension changes as was hoping to fit some bigger cams in before race season that are on order but see how time permits as fancy doing some tricolore rounds this year but first race is end of March and at silverstone which I’d like to do, but also just moved house so tied up with diy as well
