Well at last ...some good news ...finished fitting the pump relay tonight & started the old girl up & hey presto ...everything works great & no Petrol leaks or Vapour / fumes At last I'm getting somewhere....the new swirl pot / pump is surprisingly quite & once it's all covered in its Safty cover box I'm having made I don't think you'll hear it more than the Standard pump .... Bit of wire tiding tomorrow night & then fitting the new Satchel shift boot & clamp I've made .... Hopefully the gearbox & Helix clutch / helix pressure plate & Lightened flywheel & Crank seal + Rich W roller bearing bottom arms & modified Clutch cable May be fitted Friday ??? Plus All competition Vibra Technics top mount & gearbox mount ... Also a amazing find.... thanks to Miles a cast Alloy complete top mount inc the main engine mount this bit coming Thursday/-----saving 10kgs on the cast iron standard ,.... these are Rocking Horse S-it to get ... Picture of just the top part below... I'm then running a half size Alternator on a ajustable arm ...less weight again & I don't have much electric stuff on the car now Picture below is of the half of top mount bit off a 8v old turbo Citreon engine ? Engine fixing bit arriving Thurs as I've said already I'm sure Welshpug will know which one .. Day666 has attached the following image: |

Pitted Piston that was sticking slightly & being lazy ...exchanged For a new one .Was told the Pistons are hard anodised (alloy) & never normally need any replacing ? Ones not to bad though Day666 has attached the following image: |

Made a new two ring Stainless brackets / plus Satchell boot...:I fitted the bottom ring which I welded threaded bolts to & then bonded that ring to the floor with my windscreen bond ....then I could work 100% inside ..The top Stainless ring is holding the base of the boot by clamping it down & I used a Full CV boot because with the old short boot pressure was put on the rod & it didn't feel free & easy as it is now Soo flexible Day666 has attached the following image: |

Cut some 1.2mm Stainless plate to size & used slither disc to carefully cut out two slots .Then I bonded the plate to the outside of the Carbon fibre with my two pack Epoxy bond & used two alloy box section one each side to clamp it for two hours ... Took it out of clamps & then lite sanded the Stainless ....it feels better than new & now feels spring loaded & seals better Day666 has attached the following image: |
