You mentioned one of the CV joints had sprayed grease everywhere? Is the rest of the driveshaft ok? If it snapped or failed, the sudden transfer of load into the other driveshaft could potentially break a diff but it'd be unusual, I'm sure they come across greater forces on rally stages!

Wayne was saying that's probably nothing to be worried about, he said due to being St 160+ MPH on the dyno CV joints often shed grease if the boot and clip aren't 100% due to the centrifugal forces.

I know you've gone to a lot of effort for extra boost but is it actually worth it? Will the extra power be usable?

Yes it is useable, and with the extra expense why not spend the money on a gearbox Ash? A Highboost still sh1ts itself very easily! I don't think this was to do with power! It broke the cv joint on the drivers side as well. So could have been the reason the lsd broke?

Besides when I had this failure was only making 405bhp and 285lbft hadn't even started to map it really I think we'd only done an hours worth of running up and checking fueling was good before we opened the restrictor out!

This is the run that it let go on the wind down from this! The previous run I think we saw 405bhp can't remember the torque then Wayne pulled some ignition before this run as he was going to add some more to see where we were power wise

Surely there is another issue with the box, wouldn't have thought it would s**t itself after that?

Such is life I'm not worried and it didn't kill me but I'd be willing to bet it's cost me 2k by the time I'm finished looking into it let alone got it fixed Sad. If I can find a suitable gearbox id rather get that done now fix once fix properly and all that .

Well as it is mate I'm left with what is realistically worth 5k like Carl paid for Andys you're in for a penny may as well be in for a pound and have something totally useable? 10k just adds 10k to what I've already spent. If I could get 10k back for what I have here as it I'd is probably call it a day and go and buy a Gtr or Rs6 / Rs4 but realistically I'd have to wait a long time! And olid just be p**sed off all the time!
