Had a brilliant 3 days on the Yorkshire Dales and Moors, twisty winding roads, steep inclines, popping and banging from the exhaust, great scenery.

Throttle Bodied Peugeot (TBP)
consists of:

Throttle bodies by Jenvey
ECU DTA E48
Air filter Pipercross
Injectors standard
Engine standard
Head rebuilt by Rich W and Co
Wiring and build and initial mapping by Me
Proper mapping by Road n Track
Exhaust Magnex (but could do with a quieter back box!)

Has been totally reliable over the 900 mile trip, even though i took all the tools and spare bits i might have needed if i got into trouble.

So to many more road trips this summer and next step is the Maxi Kit.

Its an old DTA E48, that i bought back in 2000, previously used in my Citroen Bx Gti turbo.

While cutting away the wheel arch I was thinking of how much time, effort, resources and care have gone into making this thin sheet of steel look perfect. And then I carried on cutting with my little Dremel.

Trial fitting of front wings, getting them to align properly wasn't too difficult just the parts under the headlamps kept getting caught and scratching the lens.

At the moment got the smell of resin and hardener in the living room as I repair the kevlar bumper, courtesy of Ross, cheers mate.

Progress is happening in leaps and bounds, NOT!. The car looks in a bit of a sad state at the moment, all different colours, filler and fibreglass here and there. The front bumper is in the living room at the moment and going back on this evening. Hopefully I will get the bodywork finished in a couple of weeks, weather permitting and then off to paint. Suspension, driveshafts and wishbones to sort out this week.
Will take a picture later this evening.

Filling, sanding, filling, sanding, filling sanding, priming, sanding, filling, sanding, cutting, sanding, filling, sanding etc etc etc............
That's all that I have been doing the past few weeks, any way getting better at it, though not as good as I used to be. I remember making a better job of things when I was (a bit ) younger.
So front bumper is primed but still needs a bit of correcting and an aluminium mesh to glue in place.
Wings need cutting and re adjusting, sills need sanding down and the rear arch edges need cutting back by the door shut and then more filling and sanding.

My coilovers and top mounts should arrive tomorrow though from Bridgecraft, looking forward to that, then maybe fitting on Saturday, if all goes to plan.

Thanks for that, yes it was only yesterday that I started to feel that it was finally taking shape, just waiting for a mate to give me a quote for the paint.
I am aiming for end of May 'finish line', just in time to take it to the WRX championship at Lydden Hill (to watch the race).

A BIG THANKs to you Ross, the bumper is looking half decent now, duct tape is long gone and means I don't need to buy a new one.
My coilovers have turned up plus a 306 gti shaft and C5 shaft to dismantle and compare.

Fitted a 306 Gti6 outer cv joint to a Citroen C5 drive shaft, which gives a 30mm extension. Now need to get a second hand C5 off side drive shaft. The cv joint clip is a spare just taped to the drive shaft so I don't loose it.

Hmm.....excellent!!!

Food for serious thought I think!!! Always fancied one of these although the stupid amount of front arch clearance keeps putting me off.

What does the Ph1 and Ph2 refer to?? Is it KIT phase/version or CAR phase/version??

That is where I bought the kit from, although they do originate from (I think) MC Racing or Rallying in France.
Phase 1,2 and 3 Differences are the front bumper as far as I can tell.

Do you have to cut away the rear arches ? Or can you just bond to them ?

The front bumpers are different, not sure about the rest of the kit. They can probably be fitted to either phase of car but basically it's for the ph.1 or ph.2/3 cars, but much in the same way you can convert the standard cars to other phases by swapping bodywork I bet these fit both.

The arch clearance is because it's a rally car...

I only cut away what was needed on the rear arches, enough to the lower the car and space out the rear wheels by 40mm. Though you could if you wanted to, cut all the way to the rear window, a bit like how Ross or Ash have done it.
