Anyone know if
It's cheaper going direct to satchhell engineering or same
Price as kam

He won't deal direct unless your names Welshpug LOL ...who's knows tigger/dave & co very well ...I think even Mei has to wait a little ?

What I can tell you of what I've seen when visiting Satchell for my inlet manifold is they are crazy Crazy busy & these shifts are like 0.5% of there business ....remember KAM Racing order in 20-30s batches & don't put much on top of the wholesale price m8 ....

Hope they still have them instock ?

Please remember you need quite a bit of messing about & removing / grinding bits to make them fit ...don't buy one if you think it's a 5 mins job Thumbs up

Or Get Ollie who started this thread on here to fit it for a fee ...as he's fitted more than anyone Thumbs up

I had to wait 5 weeks for the reverse collar for mine! KAM kept saying they had no stock. Got there in the end but something to bear in mind.

Ill just go threw kam then. I've got plenty of time anyway. Yeah engines out and dash will be out for cage eventually. Swapping most good parts onto a phase 1 shell just trying to think ahead before I get to excited and fit the itb engine haha cheers

If you're taking your dash out before fitting the cage it might be worth looking in to cutting the dash down a bit so it's easier to remove with the cage in. I've chopped the ends off mine as it was bloody difficult to get in and out with the cage in! Big grin

Yeah will have the shifter fitted before the cage anyway. At least then the engine can go in and it will be driveable. Really should get the hang off posting photos on the forum

Any tips on getting the selector arm off the gearbox for refitting the satshift ones. Got the roll pin out but will not budge. Or is a set off pullers the way forward. ?
And also the rubber boot is on the engine bay side yes? Just my bros just fitted one on his 206 180 and there's is on the inside it made me
Wonder. Cheers

have you knocked out both roll pins?

206 kit is quite different, from what I recall the 306 boot fits on the engine side bulkhead but into the cabin.

Anyone have issues with their Satchshift getting in to 1st? I'm sure I mentioned this in another thread but can't remember where, mine often struggles to get in to 1st. At the end of the last race it completely went, I put it in "1st" then go to release the clutch and it pops straight out again.

There's also quite a lot of slack when it's in 1st, 3rd or 5th. It goes in but the gearstick can move around quite a bit whereas in 2nd, 4th, 6th there's no play at all.

It was a bit loose, tightened it up but that hasn't completely solved the problems. I might locktight it tomorrow to be sure

I make it a habit to loctite everything that doesn't have a nyloc these days, must be why I haven't had any issues yet as my engine is now somewhat solid mounted LOL

It will be 100% somethings come loose ..even my main post that bolts onto the subframe came loose ...loctite used everywhere now ...if that bolt comes loose it bends the thin support angled plates that can cause this ...

Also my main support bolt under the car / under the gear lever came loose & then fell off ...that was causing loads of gear selection Probs until it fell off & I then realised what it was ...being loose ...
Check every nut & bolts ...unless your synchro is playing up which I doubt LOL
