I'm hoping that with no dash or engine in it should be slightly easier! I also have no interior etc. so much more space than most others

Well having a load of fun with this! Think I've got the hole in the right place just having a bit of a nightmare actually cutting it.

I'm also worried it could foul on the 4-2-1 manifold, will have to see.

Hmmmm yeah it is pretty close to the standard manifold in all fairness, hope it goes ok!!

I've cut the hole now so committed! The hole is a bit too big at the moment, going to have to make a plate to fill it in but that's not the end of the world. What I don't like is the way the boot sits, it's all bunched up:

good job! Thumbs up the boot on mine was bunching up too, had to attack it over and over again with the dremel (the hole that is, not the boot LOL )

no the hole itself, never touched the boot. also had to trim the inside so the boot wasn't squashed all the time.

looking at your pictures I think the hole you made needs opening slightly upwards if you get what I mean
