Bodies are cheaper as well no?Don't you only get 180-190 bhp from them? Against 230-240 from a supercharger ________________________________________ CLUB BLACK RALLYE||B8s||60-70mm drop||Black Partner Steels||P1 VTS Rack||Refurbed Beam||Hybrid ARB||VTS Torsion Bar|| |

I'm over 200 with mild cams, with the satchell inlet mid 190's on a stock engine is ballpark figures.Yes bodies are well cheaper. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

welshpug! wrote: Yes bodies are well cheaper. Hmm. The bodies themselves might be, but installing it all and getting it running right is going to be pretty costly ins't it? As i said before, bodies would be my choice. I love a high output NA engine, but for an instant 70 - 100 bhp, a supercharger will be fairly cheap. Second hand setups are going for under £2k. ________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

rallyeash wrote: I've been a passenger in a stock gti6 and gone past a LBSC track car at Llandow... Owner wasn't overly pleased! Did they know what the pedal on the right does at all? My low boost would eat any standard 6 without trying (and regularly does) pulls off the clock without slowing down, saw off 3.0 twin turbo supra up to 120mph when he gave up while running less power than I am now with 3 people in the car a sub in the boot and full interior. Yes it adds weight particularly up front but even keeping elec windows and sunroof full dash and not the lightest bucket seats with heavy solid lower strut brace and thick harness bar it's around 1060kg. Not much can see it off in a straight line or the twisties. I've worked on and driven a lot of boosted cars while at a Mitsubishi / Japanese dealer for 7 years and most wouldn't keep up. There's absolutely no arguing that bodies rules easily on noise but you'd have to do and spend a lot more to an engine to make low boost power with bodies. E.g bore/stroke rods pistons lifters cams mapping ecu and loom etc etc The downside to a charged track car is the charger won't last forever and is a massive outlay to replace new. Boddies can't really go wrong. If you want best power for money go charged. If you want an awesome soundtrack a bit more power and keep the reliability then bodies ________________________________________ Black power baby! I've heard the metallic green 205 that pug1off built that's running 280bhp on bodies going up the strip at Santa pod. Noise is epic________________________________________ Black power baby! not a fan of that one tbh, its all revs and no grunt, last I heard form the owner when he posted on the 205 forum he said it was over 300 bhp, but it was off the Norhampton RR running to a stupid RPM not in a 1-1 ratio, so fudge factor was massive....he started threatening and getting all keyboard warriory then ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Lol yeh you do have to rev the nuts off it as only makes power at very top end. They did the same spec engine in a red rallye same power figures 280ish that was in PFC mag some time ago with white compomotives on. Seen it at pugfest too. Think I remember having an argument with one of the 2 car owners saying how in usable the power was bing 100% top end and I questioned the reliability running that sort of n/a power. They then turned all keyboard warrior too ________________________________________ Black power baby! Yep how actual often are you just before the redline! A couple of seconds before dipping the clutch, grabbing another gear and back down to 5k again. 4.5-6.5k is your ideal usable power band. Funny how Pug 1 off engines are all in show cars... I'd like to see one of there's in a race series. That'll sort the keyboard bashing out. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Ash I love the sound of your car & love every time I see it each year something major has been upgraded What's Next for yours as if enough hasn't been done already Your m8s Red 205 is rapid also !!!!! Cant wait to see Mei in his Also ..... I think it's looking like LB Guys ....only because I feel Bodies need a 2.1/2.2 by Mei to give those LB boys a Run & I've not got that kind of money at the mo ! I'm going to hopefully go LB & then save up & sell it for 2.1/2.2 special with Bodies ? Well that's the plan I think my 3J deserves it |
