Huuuuge update... The GTI-6 brakes I picked up were a little seized, managed to free up the pistons, cleaned up the sliders and gave them a lick of paint to smarten them up. Had braided lines with them so they will be used. The engine mount I made got powder coated, handy to have a powder coating company on our business park! Also picked up hardened BBM mounts the other day locally so tomorrow should see the engine back in for the last time. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

I have been pretty busy with work.. I'm quite into running these days too, often running 4-5 times a week, various 10k races, half marathon next weekend, bristol-bath full marathon in October etc. I will get around to getting some good progress on the car soonish, its tucked in the corner of the workshop at the moment with a car cover on it mainly because were full up with customers/stock machines. Still head scratching with Petes car, think we have both lost a bit of interest in it! But we will get to the bottom of it soon no doubt. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

That mount doesn't look strong enough to me Ash. You might want to rethink it.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies.
