Fate effectively dictated I owned this car. Wilyoldave offered it in exchange for my 172 Cup years ago which I denied due to having the Clio so long without a hitch.

I've always wanted a white Rallye, and since I was without a daily driver it was a good excuse to get one.

As soon as I saw Chris (Pebbles) advertise it, I had to get straight on the blower.

Mandatory 'stop on the way home and take a picture' shot:

Excuse the dirty wheels. Chris' fault - although I can't really blame him as I did effectively turn up at his house within an hour or so before he changed his mind LOL

Got back and tucked it in the corner with my 205 Smile

Needs a few bits and bobs sorting.

Rear wiper motor doesn't work and it has the incorrect arm fitted

Needs a spare wheel and cage

Window scraper seals have the common bubbling, so I'd like to change those along with new B pillar vinyl.

I've already gone around it and replaced some petty things like the faded cigarette lighter and using the correct screws for the speakers rather than the nasty self tappers that were in there.

I'll be giving it a deep clean soon inside and out. I'll also remove the interior plastics, thoroughly clean them and replace anything marked for mint replacements.

The inside isn't too bad at all. But I get OCD with new cars for about a week before I get bored - so I've got to crack on while I can LOL

I'll probably get some Cyclones soon and raise the height.

I have one set spare. Blaze yellow, slight scuffing, but straight and true albeit with bad tyres. Some bulls**t and some just plain munched.

You'd prob be better with a newer set.

Been working my way around this looking for further small faults which I can sort to entertain myself and bring the car up to standard.

The passenger rear light has a crack so I'll replace that.

One of the rear calipers has a sheared nipple so I'll see to that and swap it over.

The exhaust comprises of a scorpion backbox mated to a pattern OE centre section. The join is poorly welded and it blows. I'm unsure if it's worth saving either so I'll be on the look out for a replacement system.

I've taken a look at the rear wiper. The relay plug pins were corroded so I've cleaned them up and it's fully working now. Whilst I was there I replaced the inner tailgate trim panel screws for OE torx self tappers as the large headed zinc plated ones just wouldn't do LOL

Started to give the interior a deep clean and removed all fluff and residue from around the seats. Disturbing it let off a slight weed smell, so fingers crossed there's a kilo of crack stuffed behind the dash.

Texasranger - PM sent Thumbs up

I've purchased a white donor vehicle to pinch some parts from - well a hockey stick and back bumper if it's mint, so that will be handy - plus I get fidgety when I don't have a car to pull to bits as a hobby Wink

She's not turned a wheel for 6 months or so.

One of the previous owners lowered it 60mm which was rediculous.

So I changed the springs for -30mm Eibachs although it now looks more or less standard height.

The Team Dymanic 1.2 wheels went on the 205 temporarily and the 'clones went on. Ideally I want some silver ones in the future.

The beam is still -60mm but I have a spare which I will have rebuilt.

I've not really touched the car for a few months until this weekend where I replaced the lower rad hose after it had dropped the coolant on to the floor.

It may be back on the road in the next month or so as it needs to get used as there's no point having it if it's just going to sit there. Same for the 205 actually which is nearly out of MOT - last used to come back from the previous MOT LOL
