What I did - which I assumed was correct:Drilled a hole big enough for the eye bolt to go through and put the square plate underneath the floor with the nut facing down to the ground. The eye/head of the bolt effectively uses the floorpan as a washer. ________________________________________ |

Yeah that's the plan. Just using gripfil to hold it to the car until I can get back onto and put the bolt it. That either means I have no friends or I am preparing incase I have to remove the harness a few times________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! I need to check what I've done but I'm fairly certain I described it right. When we drilled a hole through there was another layer underneath so I'm not sure how you welded the plate in from underneath?________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Thought as much, but useful to know. So is the overall conclusion that these lugs need to be welded into the rear floor to mount harnesses? Seems logical but one heck of a faff, i recently removed my rear seats and there are 2 very large what appear to be brass (over an inch tall) big lugs coming through the floor - any idea what the heck they are?! |
