sandwich plate sits between the filter and heat exchanger. The extension bolt just goes through the middle of the sandwich plate and allows the filter to then sit on the end, securing the plate in place and allowing the oil through it. |

They look thinner in diameter than oem ones so they are probably solid and not hollow |

I have J and R drive shafts on my Transit Connect for the last 2 years. The boots split on them quite easy. But they do the job.________________________________________ FB: South Downs French Car ClubDiablo 6 2001 low boost Diablo 6 2000 100% standard working air con Vw Caddy tdi work van |

You need to run it with standard heat grade plugs during running in - the BKR8EIX's won't get hot enough to self clean during running in, they will foul up, then your car won't start As others have said, put some cheap 10W40 in initially, we normally do about 100 miles to break in everything that's new and flush out the graphogen and other assembly compounds, then put the Royal Purple XPR 20W50 in. After another 100 or 200 miles you should be OK to open it up - we don't run them in for more than about 300 miles in total - with the plateau honing and tolerances the engine is built to, you don't need to. to be fair the gears are fine as long as you're sympathetic, just don't let it spin up in third and you should be fine. Pete I've also used these shafts and had no issues at all ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |
