Hi guys , well as most of you no I am running low boost rotrex supercharger on my gti6 , for a while been talking about going high boost , well can now say I have in my hands new built high boost engine from lynx engineering , also high boost map and even bigger injectors.

Its not going be done in 5 minutes still need sort out bigger intercooler pipes and fmic , need bigger exhaust bore about 2.5" , uprated clutch , LSD , etc , so needed to invest in these aswell , but least its underway :-) keep close watch on this :-)

Hi guys and girls little update , I have now started to strip old engine out , going be a slow progress but its going be well worth it :-) , my engine crane be here Friday , took few pictures of stripping engine down as I always like to show you lot step by step action

So hopefully by Friday engine will be out :-) then can give engine bay good clean etc few bits can get painted . Will keep you all updated:-)

UPDATE well engine is now out , demon driver nearly cut off my hand off when I said its for sale ( lovely lock up mate would love something like that)

... been ordering up new parts , gearbox seals , drive shaft seals , gaskets etc, blue hoses , list goes on hit bank balance hard lol, new wishbones and ball joints going to order today


I'm after few engine brackets to be powder coated anyone no of any places near me give me shout :-)

It made sense since you're local! Don't think it's moved since you dropped it off but it's on the list of things to get done, will start stripping it down soon.

I also need to get some stuff powder coated, let me know if you find somewhere.

Fitted top engine mount and few brackets to engine today. , I'm really happy with it , only thing letting it down is the oil cooler needs spraying up so that be coming off soon :-) , also gear box got its first coat today , fork arm is getting replaced with new so want be staying silver , hopefully weekend engine be can started to be put back in:-)

Also fitted new wishbones and ball joints and track rod ends and drop links, so little more progress today :-) , can't make my mind up if to get new drive shafts or not mmmm ?

Had a day in garage doing bit more , decided to clean up the SC bracket and Sc , as they where really dirty , happy with the out come Smile. Then fitted charger to engine , just waiting for my LSD to turn up now and need to sort clutch out , I'm hoping box will be on by end of week ...














Still got to clean up that oil cooler only thing letting engine down

:-) My Quaife ATB Helical LSD Differential turned up today , ( hit the old bank account hard ) but couldn't not buy one or car wouldn't be drive able. Feels shame you to box it up and never see it again lol , new bearings should be here tomorrow get this fitted into box over weekend

Fitted quaife LSD this weekend into the box , fitted new bearings and seals Smile also fitted new fork and bearings and fork arm, used the old crown wheel bolts , nothing wrong with them so didn't see need to get new ones , just need to order helix clutch kit now , then get box fitted back onto engine Smile





















LSD locked away never to be seen again lol

ahhh I have spotted the difference with the diff bearings, you appear to have a plastic cage, originals are steel, that'll be why they were a lot cheaper.

The ones I have fitted are SKF JL69345F310Q Are dearer then the first ones I bought , 23 pound each these cost, was told skf jl 69345f310q is the part number I needed
