Sounds awesome mate! Sounds like you've got yourself a keeper based on family merit alone! If she's a good lass too then you are laughing!

Start a thread in off topic and get some pics up? I've become a bit addicted to photography lately, and would love to see some pictures of elsewehere Smile

I saw the thread, but didn't catch the Reg. Very close to this one!

Your underside looks fantastic. I've decided that I'm going to put some money into doing a similar thing with mine. Although its in "good" condition, I want it in mint condition Smile

Love a good clean beam too!

Thanks Chris, can't take any credit though, my mate did most of it at his garage. Had a new clutch fitted at the same time and new drive shafts. Just had it mot'd this morning so i'll enjoy it for a bit, then its into my mates body shop for a bit of work, then end of the year back to the garage to get the engine out and have all the engine bay and the rest of the underneath done. Not saying this 'cos we have one, but does it seem that white Rallyes command a slight premium these days?

Course you can take credit Smile

You are the one who is putting the time and money into the car, although some credit can go who actually undertakes the work, it ultimately is because of you the car isn't just sitting there slowly deteriorating.

Most of the credit for my car goes to the previous owners, its been cared for. I've replaced a few bits (namely paying a few hundred for a wheel refurCool but I've not really done much.

Got mine back too, a bit of mud around the wheel arches and that's it really.

Done a total of a mile.

I forgot to set the trip, but no dirt would suggest they didn't do much. Water marks would suggest they didn't clean it before the shoot either LOL

Looking forward to seeing our cars Carl Smile

Will do Luke.

As you say Carl, they will probably get a few seconds of screen time each.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these may appear in James May's 'Cars of the People' - 3 part series starting this Sunday 10th August 9pm BBC2

It's a 3 parter, the first was about the Nazis developing what we now know as the Beetle.
