Moved to correct section! Thumbs up
Iirc if the pin is out the release arm, remove the arm then ease the box off, you may need to help the release arm round so the forks disengage from behind the release bearing fork then pull the box off!

Top of the arm ? Or just bend it up to allow the fork to rotate it round

Exactly what I did, much easier than trying to get the pin out. Once the box is off you can take the pin out if as you can spin the fork round and get the pin to an easy location.

Well this is the damage......

There is this damage on top... I dunno if it caused the failure by a bit dropping into box??

*edit* just seen the missing bit,its in the picture next to hole,so somethings blown that out

this is the diff casing inside the box...

proper job lol got couple of bits to swap then chuck it back together. Fun fun lol

Well thats what I thought but looking in the first picture the missing bit is there on top of the box.

im really not sure as to how this happened!!???

Cor what a b*stard the box is to get back in. Im sure the fork is through the bearing now so not much to do now. Is there a fill for the diff or will it fill when I fill up through the breather bit on top??

Looks like whatever was flying around in the hell housing smashed the bell housing causing the leak and hit the bit in the first picture breaking that bit off, that's sat on the top

no, more likely to be the planet gears s**tting themselves and flying about through the diff casing bouncing off the flywheel up through the top/

if the pin is in the arm then you haven't got the forks behind the bearing.

Did you slide the for behind the thrust bearing when installing the box it's tricky to do ? If you had the fork facing the rad the it won't be right ? The fork needs to be facing the bearing cut outs so it slips in behind when the box goes on

so gear box back out???

yeah I didn't mean pointing to the rad but slighty over that way then as I jiggled the box I heard it pop in and believed it to be behind the cut out in bearing..
