Hi,

I'm doing a bit of a HDi mapping deal at the moment.

ANY HDi map, stage 1, stage 1+, stage 2, stage 2+, hard cut limiters, bespoke Stage 3 maps, 1800bar rail sensor mods etc etc etc, all just £50 if ordered before the end of the month.

Can do this as a remote email file service, or flash it here at my premises in Lancashire for a small fee.

Also, I'm happy to discuss more with people if they are after specifics....

how does this benefit me on a standard 306 HDi? suppose i should read up about each stage / etc first

I have an hdi with a stage one map which is decated and the difference is massive. Much morr get up go and still super on mpg. Averages just under 50mpg doing the usual short journeys and I used it the other week to go to bigbadbowens from maidstone and it made 68mpg on the motorways.

at what cost though, surely something must give? turbo etc etc not need uprating?

i'm interested though. mine's standard, with a diy battered-inside-with-a-jack-handle decat. it must only be putting out 300bhp at the moment so more power is ideal

+1 on this. Mine's standard and I don't really want to/CBA be f**king about changing parts on it but i'd love to be able to cook a few more fools on my way to and from work so mapping sounds like a good option.

With a stage 1 map these must rip a GTi6 a new one?

Can you add launch control?

    With any remaps as soon as it's done you drive it hard any way so something will go pop , I'm tempted to get my 1 series remapped but scared of the costs

    Stage 1 on an HDi is pretty safe. Obviously you can't be 100% certain but the majority of people have no issues. I had mine mapped but the fuel pump wasn't up to the challenge so it kept shutting down on WOT. It did make a big difference though and I would recommend it if you can get it done.

    what about lunch control to stop you eating whilst driving?

    my 306 does about 650-700 to a tank all the time even with a chuffing injector so don't want to jeopardise anything. but if i can up the power a bit i'd be happy if it didn't sacrifice mpg too much

    wow i sound like one of the diesel mpg idiots i used to rant about

    I find the let down with the HDi is the lag when pulling out on people.

    With launch control I could sit there bouncing on the limiter and pull away on boost, thus spinning the rounderabout and flinging the paupers out of my exit path.

    Which 1 series do you have?

    I had my 3 series mapped it made a big difference.

    like I said. Mpg on ours is 46-50mpg on the work run which is a short trip and I managed 68mpg on a long run driving 2 stints of 2hours. Cant grumble. Its a great mod. Smokes a bit on boost but like the derv boys say, no smoke, no poke.

    Haha, great responses!

    Stage 1 is very safe, no mechanical mods required, and sees great gains (around 130hp). A stage 2 requires an intercooler and would normally see around 160hp, often an uprated clutch is required as the gains in torque are massive.

    If a big fuel pump and bigger turbo is fitted, up to 200hp is achievable with a stage 3 map.

    If anyone has any specific questions please do get in touch, I've done loads of these now in stage 1, 2, and 3.

    If you email the file how do you go about putting the map on the ecu?

    PP2000 (Win XP) or a Galetto (Win 7) are the devices I know. IMO it's easier to take the trip and get someone to do it for you as you could brick the ECU which wouldn't be ideal!

    I can do it here in Lancashire, or alternatively you can buy a tool from ebay.

    MPPS is great, has a recovery mode and for £20 you can't go wrong!
