Yep not cheap but like you said above you could just use pc fans for a lot less cash as long as the flow enough air! |

Doof, when you say 'max inlet temps of 80' I'm guessing you mean the oil inlet temp rather than the charge inlet temp? Sorry I'm perhaps reading it wrong but if I was told max inlet temp for a charger i'd take it as air/charge temp?________________________________________ www.bridgecraftmotorsport.co.uk |

How is it going to get that hot? Its not got any combustion like an engine, or exhaust temp like a turbo so hos does it generate that much heat?________________________________________ supercharged China gti6 - Thu 16th Sep 1999 - sold2010 megane rs250 |

Remember ambient temp in the engine bay is probably 70 degrees. Its still spinning at Over 10000 rpm and will naturally generate heat conpressing air. |

Ordered a new 'charger today after taking the old one off at the weekend. Think the datestamp on my old 'charger was 12/09 so nearly 4 years old. The input shaft hasn't snapped, it still spins though it's extremely stiff to rotate it by hand. I'm not sure exactly what to expect but I'll be in touch with Rotrex again tomorrow to see what they say.Speaking to Richard at TTS he said that a 13 row cooler should be satisfactory on these and they don't position their coolers behind fans either so I think I'm just going to run without but plumb in a temperature sensor and keep an eye on it. |

Anyone know how to get the metal boost pipe off the supercharger outlet? It looks like it's either pressed on or welded on but I've given it a pull and it won't budge. Also, does anyone know if the inlet of the supercharger is standard? I don't have it to hand (or any good pictures) but it looks like there's a 4 bolt flange pressed / welded on to allow the throttle to bolt up to it. |

It could be welded, depends how the orginal owner wanted to do it.Its not standard no As you say there is a flange welded on which allows the tb to bolt up correctly. Will struggle to get that apart again i suspect ![]() You could possible just hold on to that part though as i cant imagine it will be need for anyone to assess damage to the carger ![]() ________________________________________ Just Drive It |

Just to confirm, I spoke to Nick at Lynx and the throttle adaptor is just a press fit so I should be able to pop that off and reuse it. The high boost pipework is welded on though so I'll have to look at either swapping the housing (which i'm not keen on) or getting another pipe made up and welded on. I'm not really keen on welding the new outlet on though but I'm not sure how else to do it. How are other boost pipes normally attached to superchargers? Surely silicone is good enough for 1 bar? |

If you have a silicone joiner on the charger outlet, it will collapse when off boost. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I pressed mine in and then got it welded although as you say it wasnt a requirement. For the outlet from the charger i used one of these bad boys... As long as there are no major gaps between pipework then silicone couplings are fine :-) ________________________________________ Just Drive It |

I'm still waiting for my charger from TTS so not really looked into this. The max temp was 80 degrees but I don't know about min / ideal operating temps. I'm going to stick with the same size oil cooler but plumb in a temp sensor so I can keep an eye on it. Will report back how that goes. |

As if I wasn't already p**sed off with Rotrex enough I'm still sat here waiting for my supercharger that I paid for back in October. I was offered a 10 day lead time by TTS but here we are nearly 3 months later and I still have nothing! I started off really pleased with TTS and now I'm just being fobbed off and Richard is barely responding to my emails.Might email Rotrex and have a moan to make myself feel better. |

probably none judging by the sounds of it i would be tempted to tell them it's a hire car and you're going to be passing on a £60 a day bill for car being out of use ![]() this may have happened to me when waiting for a £1000 payout for a smashed up gti6 a few years ago ![]() ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |
