Hi Guys

I'm looking for another 6 at the moment and stumbled across this advert for a 'Rallye' on pistonheads:

Clicky

The seats don't look like GTI6 or rallye seats and the fog lights, lack of decals and air conditioning suggest its not a rallye either Dunno

I know and the seats look like XSI seats?! But then the seller has intentionally taken a pic of the V5 almost in anticipation of people doubting its a rallye

Think they are meridian seats. Probably worth a look though.

They are the seats as fitted to the XS / HDI D-turbo. Probably a perfectly legit car, I think around 1999 Peugeot were just chucking them together with anything they could find lying around the factory floor!

Quite a few members and owners used to swap the seats for the older style xsi ones.

isn't it a case of sending off logbook with alterations to vehicle make/model?

I'm sure this is exactly the same spec as yours was originally, as I mentioned on your project they were apparently built this way for managers etc at Peugeot.

Definitly worth a look at that price and in the condition it looks to be.

Not forgetting that seats wear so it wouldn't be unreasonable for someone to change a pair of ripped seats for ones in better condition from a breakers yard to smarten up their old Peugeot.

Jon (Thugpuggin) is the man to ask, I'm sure he will have it on his database and be able to shed some light on it.

Rich's white rallye that was sold to kev and now Ross had the same seats out of the factory so good chance this car did too imo.

it's probably an ex employees car, so had whatever he wanted, or someone else has retrofitted bits to it. nothing bizarre... it says rallye on the database so it's a rallye. logbook can't be changed in that respect. you can only update minor things

i took some of them seats to the tip - they were in my standard 306 hdi dturbo 3dr

'Fastest models'? The colour doesn't make a difference haha!!
    LOL

It may be worth a look, but if you are strongly convinced to get it, i'd do a proper check on car checker or something first and find out its history!
Would be devastated if it was a Cat C Write off.

Could be a clone/doner car from someone who has re-shelled their rallye?

Did some Rallyes leave the factory with different seats from the normal Rallye 'Phoenix Cloth' ones? Never heard of this but I defer to the experts. You can look up VIN on service box - states options fitted including interior spec.

They shouldn't of, to my knowledge the interior has always been the standard Rallye type!!
