Eyup all,

Thought I would revisit the forum as I haven't been here in a couple of years when it was free. However I am happy to pay the membership as I recall there was always a wealth of knowledge available on here to assist with any issues.

Just thought I would introduce myself again anyways. Someone of you may have seen me asking a load of questions on one of the GTi6 facebook pages.

Im Hayden - From Sheffield - South Yorkshire. I have a V reg GTi6 and the only mod I have on there is a power flow exhaust following the finding of around 12 holes in the standard exhaust a few months back.

That aside my car has many many issues which I will at some point probably annoy everybody with! Just thought I would warn you. Its probably going to cost me a lot more to bring back up to decent state that it would to just buy one of somebody else. But saying that this is my 6! There are not that many left so I don't really want to let this one go.

Also I've always intended to go to one of the local meets to get in touch with other local 6 owners therefore if you are local let me know.

Anyways thats all for now Smile

Hayden/ Doon

Cheers all I'm working my way through all quotes I can within a realistic driving range. Hopefully I can get something cheaper than the prices I am being quoted by the garages in Sheffield!

It was - I cant believe some mechanics/ garages are refusing to do cambelt changes. Yeh fair enough they are tricky and need to be done spot on but surely that's the game they got in to.

Anyways - got a few quotes so far with over £100 between the cheapest and the most expensive - yet its small garage who does a lot of Rallye/ gti6 projects that is the cheapest Smile may have potentially decided where I am taking it!

Stans service is a ploy to recruit you and brainwash you into his cult (ukip). You pay a fee and get a free cambelt change with it...sounds risky!
