The forum has saved me £kkk over the years and i do not see a problem with £5 a year.

The forum changed to £5 for the simple reason of that we got s**t loads of trolls and bad sellers which everyone moaned about.
Admin had a vote and most people agreed to pay for membership to put the trolls off, so we got what we wanted.

Now everyone is b**ching saying its killed the forum.

What killed the forum is these cars are getting on a bit now and most people are buying jap or clio's etc.
Most people that owned 306's have now moved on and expect the forum to be free so they can have a chat.

Make you're own free forum if you hate this place so much.

Well said that man

I'm going to pay £50 and have 9 of my favourite members have renewed membership on me. That way I will be king of my group and have a chance to feel important for once in my miserable life.

I was one of those none- committed owners :'(
But now I have had the car a number of years and run it in to the ground I am more aware of what an amazing car it is and how little are left/ seen on the roads these days. Hence re-joining.

I pledge to do my best to be a more reliable owner from now on! haha

took a look at that 306oc forum for the first time yesterday and must say I would rather pay the £5 for here.

This forum looks and feels a whole lot better to use than 306oc

You could Redesign the forum, put games on here, Put pretty lights on the homepage and it still wouldn't bring new members in!
Like somebody earlier on this thread stated; 306's are an old car now, people are moving onto newer things!

I'm kinda happy being in the minority that actually appreciate this car for what it is! Smile

However.....

I have seen quite a few 'new' Gti6's on the road lately, so how is this site advertised??
Google i'd imagine, and our stickers on the car but...

Is there any other avenues we can push? Perhaps even using the funds paid to help??

I think a blimp with https://www.306gti6.com written down the side would do the trick, just fly it all over the uk. For a laugh we could also get meatspin on the other side and upset a lot of people at the same time. Laugh

I think this idea is excellent. However blimps like to crash a lot, so we would probably get some bad publicity when ours inevitably did. Probably into something of massive inconvenience like a hospital or a school.

Advertising is a good idea, although if someone bought a GTi-6 or Rallye and 'Googled' the model, they would find this site straight away anyway. Yes

No publicity is bad publicity. Just think, we'd be all over the news then. Yes
