Yup it's gone quiet as fook lately.... Considering 306oc offers similar hosting and uploads etc and doesn't crash every 5 minutes like this site used to. Yet manages to be free.... Also I've noticed more and more adverts about the place particularly from insurance companies who must be paying something to be on here?? So should we have to is the question.....________________________________________ Black power baby! OC relies on donations from members and the fact that the admin are very generous and will pay out of their own pocket for server costs when donations are low. Not trying to be funny but Ash hardly seems to be involved in this forum any more so i cant see him paying out of his pocket when money runs low. |

Ok, I'm going to be frank here. The forum costs £5 a year. That is what the owner has decided and that is how it's going to stay. You are here of your own free will, if you don't like the way it is then I for one am very tired of hearing people complain about the cost of a pint per year to post here. You all know where the door is, the costing here is very unlikely to change, so either accept it, pay it and enjoy the forum, or quietly leave when your membership expires as you are perfectly entitled to do. I personally don't mind which. What I do mind however, is people consistently moaning about it but still gracing us with their presence. So, for the moaners... Either quit moaning and pay up, or shut the door on your way out. Simples. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

As above tbh.5 pound a year is less than what I spend on lunch everyday and this forum is more useful than that... ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Doesn't solve the low numbers though, a forum is what it is from the amount of people in it and the type etc.________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. You could even go out and find that on the streets over the year and still have change for next years membership if you didnt want to spend your own money! ________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

I was a member in few Israeli cars forums, big and small but :all of them are free, most of them use vbulletin forum software, a far more advanced and user friendly than the arcane interface of this forum. they already exist at least 8 years, and none off them delete old posts, i was shocked to learn this, no forum owner here in his right mind will even consider that. i can't understand why it can't be here as well. ________________________________________ French military victories?Did you mean French military defeats? |

I dont mind paying as i get all the info i need from the site and at £5 for the year i cant say its an expensive membership. Is it possible the the numbers have dropped because fewer people own these cars nowdays? I mean, the price of hothatches has come down a fair bit so maybe no-ones interested in 15 year old money pits as much... ________________________________________ DIABLO GTI-6 - Legend - NILE GTI-6 - SoldCHERRY GTI-6 P1 SUPERCHARGED - Broken up BLACK RALLYE - Sold 205 Dturbo xud9 work horse - Dead CHERRY RALLYE - new toy |

306oc is free and full of diesel owners. This forum is not free and it keeps out the diesel owners. Club 306 is paid (where I am admin) and barely has anyone who owns a 306 anymore. You want to see dead sign up and pay over there As already mentioned £5 for a year is nothing, and I'm only here to stalk ratty and browse the ads wondering if I should buy a six again (for the past two years...) |

Thats the trouble most of the members on here no longer own a 306 but stick around for banter and laughs! £5 isn't a lot but if you don't even own a 306 anymore i can understand not wanting to pay. It's a shame but can't expect Admin to pay for the upkeep of the site on there own.________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

What makes me laugh is how most people here would happily go into an arcade and think nothing of putting £5 in a fruit machine or changing up £5 to put in the 2p machine and yet winge like merry hell when they're charged a fiver for a year's worth of posting...I think people need to be realistic. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
