I don't think that's the right car mate, I did a hpi check, all clear, it's spent most of its life in London, and I fully checked it, no crash damaged at all, every panel lines up perfect to. |

Did this car have the new front end welded on from that W plate nile which got hit from behind by a train? Pretty sure the front wheels are about 6 inches further apart than normal, and the engine sits a bit lower because of the poor welding job on the front?________________________________________ 205 GTIXsara HDI |

Dude if you pull the door seals off you should be able to spot the welding. The guy who did it got banned from the forum for selling it on after the accident |

Nope, sorry lads wrong car, had a mechanic check it out today, no signs of welding, so it can't be, everything is in the right place, door seals have no welding, the car is in awesome condition hence and cv boot and a torn drivers seat, oh yeah and some new clips needed for the door cards lol. It's a fantastic little motor. |

Right now we have that sorted, lowering it, what do you recommend? 400 quid budget, have to take it to the garage for torsion bar, probs going to need some oxyacetylene on it to get it moving, so what suspension? I hear a lot about bilstein b8's??? What site can you get them from? It's the first thing I wanna do, get rid of the body roll ![]() |

Think carefully before you lower it too much. Spend the 400 quid on replacing all the worn out suspension bits. These cars work very well with a bit of suspension travel. |
