Yesterday i weighted my gti-6 with full interior and half tank gas. I have only removed spare tyre (18kg/39.6lbs). I got 1180kg/2601lbs whitout driver, i think this weight less than ph2/3 rallye?

I know this gets spouted about quite oftenRoll eyes

But has anyone weighed them on the same weigh bridge and seen the results for real?Dunno

And IF the ph1 is lighter, what has it got less than a ph2/Rallye to make it lighter?Dunno

See i always say this and no one backs me up Big grin

fact is most of the stuff that actually makes the rallyee lighter than a phase 3 six a phase one doesnt have anyway.

    A/C (Most dont)
    Airbags in the seats
    Airbags in the passenger side
    Various electric bits and bobs

Then and in the fact that almost every panel is different and it starts to make some sense.

...together with the fact that published weights and figures are often massaged or simply measured differently; with/without fuel, driver etc. And then there is the difference in supposed Rallye lightening - 52kg or 16kg; quite a discrepancy.

If published weights are to be believed (no IMO - see my last post) the Rallye is listed at 1163kg on Carfolio so your P1 is a bit of a lard-@r$e in comparison.
