Anyone interested in my 1990 red 205 Gti with a Gti 6 engine transplanted in ? Mods as follows

Gti6 engine
Vts gearbox
New clutch (gti6)
Spax suspension all round
Disc rear beam (prob could do with rebuild but went through mot)
309 lower arms with polly bushes
309 drive shafts - brand new
306 Gti hubs
306 hdi front brake upgrade (266 discs but same size piston as 6 apparently)
Stripped interior
Rallye front seats (bit tatty)
Sparco 4 point harnesses
Uprated engine mounts
Powder coated arb and other gear rods
Relocated battery to behind passenger seat with cut off switch

I saved this car from a friend who had it sat on his drive minus the gearbox and looking a bit sorry for its self. I took her home and started the save,
New clutch went on then a xsara 5 speed box. New drop links and various other missing bits I soon had it up and running and off for an mot, just had to replace a front flexi and a couple of bulbs to get her a nice 12 month ticket

I also sourced a new grill as it was missing

Gave her a service along with gearbox oil etc so she is now ready to go.

Bad bits as follows

Faded paint - looks more orange than red now but it's not a concourse car so don't expect mint paint work. Saying that it has a very solid body and no rot underneath.

Passenger side central looking not working.

All the other electrics work with exception of the oil presure gauge (rev counters has the module so works fine)

I will put a set of nicely powder coated set of speedline 1.9 wheels with excellent toyo tyres.

I will get it cleaned and pics up tomorrow Thumbs up

Good potential track car that just needs finishing off

IT WOULD APEAR THE REAR BEAM HAS NOT BEEN LOWERED TO MATCH THE FRONT

Let me know if interested

Cheers

Chris

Scared me a little the other day. Hoping to use it as a fast and fun daily. Only live 6.5 miles from work, and possibly track it at some point whilst my 306 is completed.
