Trouble is these cars aren't sought after other than on forums and as a result there value is dropping heavily. Think Paul is thinking of selling up and recouping some money getting something more modern before its too late and the cars worth feck all?________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

Possibly, if it *already* isn't too late.As you point out, realistically these cars are worth nothing now, even modified ones or big power ones like mine and Paul's. It's sad but it's reality. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Everyone moves on, even Stan will one day! It's a old but powerful FWD hatch at the end of the day, although you have the out and out acceleration, it's inevitable you want to try other marques. The 350 is a great choice to experience RWD, and IMO choosing a car shouldn't be just about outright speed, it's about enjoying the driving experience. There are so many cheap interesting cars out there that living for the 306 can't be a lifetime commitment |

Agreed, all the tripe on forums etc is pointless, its how the car makes you feel when driving is what really matters, as well as how safe it is.________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. That's exactly it. I wanted to experience a 450bhp 306 and have done but I want a more refined car, at the same time I'm quite happy to keep this car if I cannot get what I want for it. I'm not willing to lose a lot as I don't 'need' to sell it. On a lighter note my cars been fixed today, I'm yet to see the work but I'm sure it's done to a good standard ________________________________________ Phase 2 Blaze GTi 6 (Standard) SoldPhase 3 Supercharged China GTi 6 (249.8 BHP) Sold Phase 3 Supercharged Diablo GTi 6 (443 BHP)Sold Nissan 350Z (300 BHP) |

stan_306gti6 wrote: Really? I guess I'm kind of in that boat myself actually. Whilst the car is mint and no worries regarding the rust issue, I have got to the stage where it's time to put the Peugeot to one side. Having said that, I guess I'm kinda lucky that if I wanted to buy another car, I wouldn't need to sell the Peugeot to fund the new purchase. However, I don't want to part with the old girl as I've spent a lot of money, time and effort in getting it to where it is now. Therefore, I want to keep it as I've had some great times with that car and am not in a position where I need to sell. Having said that, there isn't really anything out there on the market at the moment which floats my boat enough to go and buy one. I'm more into bikes now anyway, and I'd rather spend my time on that rather than mess around with a car to be honest these days. Therefore, come the end of this year, I will park the car up (this time for good) and go from there. If a car comes on the market in a few years time which really takes my liking I may decide to buy it, who knows, but for now I'm more than happy with what I've got and I'm more than happy to let it sit for a while too. Thing is Stan, who wants a Manstone, really ... Super High Boost or otherwise We Buy Any Car might give you £1,000? before deductions ________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |

I would love an AE86 Corolla, proper 80s shed but look like a hell of fun top drive. I know a chap who owned one which he sold on a few years ago and he's been looking for another ever since. Best car he has driver or so he said. Still £5-7,000+ for a good example. ________________________________________ I Live for the 306TEAM CHERRY PINK RALLYE 2008 BMW ///M 320d |
