Could anyone with any experience please advice,

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/roll-cages/car/peugeot/306-phase-2-gti-6/omp-bolt-in-competition-roll-cage-fia-approved-10-attachment-points-28kg-weight

Recommendations?

Roger that!

Does he make/supply? or just have a decent knowledge of the subject?

Never had a look at those cages, so not sure what the fit and finish is like tbh, I'm sure there's a couple with those on here though.

It doesn't have to be that cage, I'm interested in any cage around that price, plus demon tweeks have a pay monthly option which is ideal.

If you know of a better one for the money, fire away! Smile

I'd buy a second hand one, but won't have £500 cash on me for a few months yet

Can you weld?

Add fitting to the price and give that figure to Phillip.

No doubt he could fabricate and fit a better design for the money.

I've not had a cage from PhillipM yet, but what I spec'ed and compared to with other companies, he could supply and fit cheaper than any other firm could just supply. Plus he could alter anything to suit your needs, harness bars, door bars ect.

    Cheers for the replies guys.

I am an average welder, however a close friend is a mechanic and fully qualified welder. so that's useful.

I imagine I will have around £500 at my disposal. Ill do some adding up of figures in the bank and give phillipm a PM

I've not seen many that go from the rear beam mounts to the cage. Why do most of them go to the top of the rear arch instead of to the mount, I would have thought that the rear beam mount would give much better rigidity to the shell, at least on the handling side anyway. That's another thing to add to the list when Phillip sorts my cage out Smile

They're the absolute minimum road rally/Group N type cage to retain the rear bench as much as possible.

You're only jealous because you didn't have the bullbar option.

I've got that cage for the 205 and mine goes to the beam mounts. It has mounts above screen and a seat belt mounts too, might just be a generic picture?
