Good stuff matey, hope the missus understands that first course of action will be to fill the garage with tools, and that redecorating the rest of the house can wait if she doesn't fancy doing it herself.

Can't wait to get a house with a decent garage, I'll probably never leave it. What I really need is an industrial unit with a kitchen and a bed.

good thing with detached houses is your neighbours don't really hear you banging around in the garage Big grin

downside is that realistically you have so much house s**t to sort out that you don't even get chance to go in the garage

Thats 1 reason we're moving our neighbours are loud 1 side is up at 5am every morning even weekends and we are woken up by her banging, the other side she is in a wheel chair and has a carer to help her in to bed, carer arrives at around 11pm and goes 1am and we hear everything said in the conversations so we only get around 4-5 hours kip each night Sad

Its one of the things I wanted.. as long as its got a garage and I drive.. took us months to find one..
Got it cheap as it was a bit run down. Still a bit to do.

Does yours just need re decorating?

That was my one stipulation when buying the house we've got, it had to have a garage.

When the missus went to view it, she telephoned me and started talking about the whole house, when I asked about the garage situation, she replied that it was a double!

At that point I lost interest in the house conversation and just told her to put a deposit down, and now here we are. Smile

I've just missed out on a house with a huge garden with potential for a huge garage, now I have to wait until summet decent pops up.

Our lass keeps looking at stuff that is no good, she wonders why i give her the "you having a laugh face" when its got no garden, drive or garage lol

The wait is the solicitors doing all the s**tty paperwork that they charge you a fortune for, my mate just bought a house and they were still doing all the communication by letter rather than E-mail as it justifies them charging more. God damn solicitors

I've got a double garage but it is full of stuff, it does my head in. I've got my gym in one corner, all my materials for work in another corner, my bike/motorbike stuff in the next corner and my toolbench/Peugeot parts centre in the other. I could probably work on a Smart car in the space I have left, but then I couldn't get to anything else inthere

Oh I know, that's the point I'm making. It's 2013 and everything is by letter, so a ten minute Emai and reply back takes five days.
