You use it for changing gearYes

You pull/push the lever forwards or back to go up or down the gearsThumbs up

Lmao a sequential then... seems cheap Wink
Isnt it just a real tight and rose jointed replacement for the standard stuff with a massive lever?
or am i missing something

That's pretty much it, reduced slop, more reliability, faster shift action and closer to the wheel, oh and it looks the tits. What's not to like?

Yeah I don't get how this works either ? It's surely not just backwards and forwards for gears ?

Cool,
I think i'd go with the effort of trying some of miles rose jointed linkages first, Could be a nice middle ground between one of these and just the unrated linkages he does

I've got a set of BakerBM linkages and they make a nice difference, mainly due to the fact the old linkages have done 100k next to the manifold. Plus, those shifters only work in a full on track car, I would feel like a dick driving with that on the road I think? I'm a dick anyway though!

Colin has not done a "kit" for the 306, just adapted the 205 assembly to work in race cars, obviously trying to get it to work with the heater box is more time consuming but they managed ti do it well with the 106/saxo, 205 needs to lose the radio afaik but nothing else.

For that reason im out, have to have the radio playing, for the track it does look a proper piece of kit though.

I want the same quick shift fordygti has, no idea what or where it's from and all rich can remember is it was a one off from a foreign member and where the brake lever for the reverse cable was from!
Feels excellent and looks similar to others on the market.

Well, in the past years I developped a quick shift for my car, as out of 10 occasions I mis shifted 3rd. gear 3-4 times on track or at the drag strip...

It uses new rose jointed linkages (just like BakerBM's) AND a modified linkage - the one which is bolted onto the subframe. The lever arm is longer, and the position of the of the ball joint is different.

This "system" now runs in two cars in the UK, one in the Finnish MOMO Endurance Cup, and one in the Australian Targa Tasmania.

If anybody wants to try it just me a PM!

I would need your own linkage (only the one which is bolted onto the subframe, with the rubber ball on it), and I would do the modification, and send you the rest back. The first one would be done only for material cost + postage, but also the rest won't cost much as I want to help the guys running these cars and don't want to earn on this really!

Will upload pics tomorrow if I won't forget Smile

Price is around 20-30GBP + postage (but have to find out the exact cost of the joints at first) - it won't be more than this for the first person, but I would say also for the rest Smile

Iv managed to get that on my 205 looking standard, no satshift nor comBRAKE fitted, nor welding lower rod ball joint lengthening, still has radio fitted. Just has a tiny bit of a longer throw compared to the satshift from what iv seen, just far cheaper.
