Anyone had this happen to them? The front wishbone bolt working itself out of the subframe? ________________________________________ Red Rallye - Rolling "restoration"Wishbone Polybushes available |

This happened on my 6 and almost worked its way fully out and would've been a pretty horrific accident if I didn't have a nose under there when it started veering all over the road!Tightened it back up full strength and its been fine since ________________________________________ ''Oh, it does handle like a golf!'' It's fairly common as the bushes age and perish, you can cure a lot of strange noises on old 306's by taking the bolts out, adding some lube and re-torquing them....My lower braces have a slight twist in them to give a little preload to stop them rattling out if they do slacken off, as it's quite common not to get the right torque on the bolts due to the nuts being exposed to the weather - bit of rust and s**t in there and they're not as tight as you think. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. I've had one come loose. ![]() It didn't come right out though, but the car started to wander and was very much a handful when trying to drive at pace. It took three full turns to tighten up when I had a gander underneath and discovered it. ![]() Now, as a precaution I always check them periodically. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
