Yes, as you pointed out before, I'm not actually bothered what other people think I was just curious as to why there was such a following of interest in what I did with it every second of the day. Laugh

    How exactly? Dunno

I just go about my everyday business and get ridiculed for not using a vehicle which a lot of people fail to understand. Hardly attention seeking is it? Laugh my ass off

Stan you're so easy to wind up, if you don't stop worrying about what idiots on a car forum think I really am never going to get any work done.

That's exactly it though Owain, I'm not *worried* about what people think I was just curious as why they thought that. Yes

    LOL

It might have something to do with you being a mechanic and neer use your 6, i havent driven one of mine since middle of 2008 lol.

These new mot rules is just another nail in the coffin for the modern classics, my air bag light comes on intermittently at the mo, i guess its a loose wire tbh. These new rules will be cleaning the rest of the old cars that didnt get done as part of the scrappage scheme, the rest of the old cars will be ok as they are the ones owned by people that know what they are doing etc.

I recently recon my rear calipers and it didnt take long at all, take them off, fire up compressor, unscrew the piston then put some air flow through the caliper and brake clean all the old grease out and refit it all with new grease etc, didnt take me long at all.

To be honest, mine failed most years that I owned it on the handbrake. A quick grease of the sliders adjust of the cables and usuallt new discs and pads and it was good for another year.

If you have an airbag light, fix your under seat connectors or whatever else the problem is or wire in fused resistors. These things are hardly expensive.

Owain, I have a question. Once the car DOES move out of the garage next week, what will my thing be then? I guess there's only one other option, the right-wing business. Yes

I'll look forward to that then. Thumbs up

I guess the position will be open, once we have photographic proof of your car being driven, I'll start a poll.

Ok, can I just request that when I lose the title of never moving my car, I would like to take over the title regarding the right-wing viewpoint.
However, we shall await the results of the poll and then go from there. Smile

Your preferences have been noted and will be taken into consideration in the thread.

Luckily we're unlikely to ever need that thread, so this is a pointless discussion.

The posting on every thread imaginable thing could also be in the running too? Although I have to admit, it's not quite so headline grabbing as the Nazi sympathiser stuff. We shall have to see.

As I said, none of this matters as we all know in our heart of hearts that car's going nowhere.
