You can get sheets of flock effect material, but it won't look as good as a professional job using the flock powder. You can get diy powder kits but I don't know how easy they are to use. Chris was looking at getting a group buy sorted for a proper job ________________________________________ Team 'unintentional rat look' |

Don't bother doing it yourself, it'll look s**t. Not that expensive to get someone else to do it, needs to be done properly with powder unless it's just one flat sheet.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Proper flocking is done via static charge. To make all the flock stand on its end to get the required effect. Home flock kits won't give anywhere near as good results.if your gonna do it, do it properly. I had my 205 dash done by Chris fuller of "clever flockers" he's based in telford. Turn around is normally 2days. He has supplied for prodrive an about 5 rally teams I know of. ________________________________________ 1997 ph1 bianca GTI6 - The looker1996 ph1 Sigma GTI6 - Dead 1999 Red Rallye - The Daily 2005 Nissan Navara D40 - Family car 1968 Mustang Coupe - The dirty little secret Put ya foot down, put ya foot down we'll loose em easy! |

That sounds like a plan, the dash will have to come out when my cage goes in so that will be the perfect time to do it. Who's the guy doing it in Llantrisant? ________________________________________ 205 GTi Red - G939 RTU - Died!306 GTi 6 Diablo - Being resurrected! Project Thread Looking for: VTS P1 Rack PR1.2 16" |

I had mine done by Pro Flock in Bagilt North Wales, they did a fantastic job including column cowls and glove box lids, I think he charged £100. The problem is, if you want it doing properly then you have to take the dash out :-(________________________________________ Liverpool Motor Club Sprint champion 2017Longton & District Motor Club Sprint champion 2017 Liverpool Motor Club Sprint champion 2016 Liverpool Motor Club Sprint champion 2015 Lancashire & Cheshire Speed Championship Winner 2014 2nd 2013 Winner 2012 2nd 2011 Winner 2010 Winner 2009 Winner 2008 Winner 2007 2nd 2006. |

True, but taking the dash out isn't that hard and is more than worth it if you want your flocking done at all. DIY jobs are only possible on absolutely flat surfaces, and even then it's not true flocking. You need electrical charge and static electricity and such, you just can't do that in situ. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |
