The D/P tubes are tiny inside, either a set of manifolds or a good size D/P and system would make a difference, don;t forget the D8 and D9 heads are different and nothing is inter changeable bar the cam's but then you need to remember they have the VVC on them

Yeah, the 350Z's love ITB's, that old Fouquet we had made 380bhp with ITB's, a touch of headwork, some lukewarm cams and exhaust manifolds.

Hmm throttle bodies would be insane Devil just means i would have to save abit extra cash. Suppose i could work weekends to help save up for them tho.

As for down pipes and manifolds i would need them to be custom made as i cant seem to find anything on the net for them

3 things.

Where the f**k are the bodies going to fit in the bay
Why do that when the exhaust downpipes are the limitation on the current engine power
Fit a d9 or Clio 255 engine on aftermarket management. Will be cheaper and quicker.

Bodies will be a squeeze. tight How would i get around the restriction off the downpipes?

Does the D9 engine fit exactly the same as the D8 engine ad run the same look and ecu?

The d9 engine runs multiplex on later models but you can get a d9 engine from a early version kind of the change over that isn't multiplex so I guess that would run a standard loom as such ? Think the mounts are the same as from the same car ?

Prob need to mod the bonnet to get bodies in Yes

Talk to jenvey I guess as they prob do a manifold Thumbs up

I am happy just keeping the D8 engine as its most common and its already in there to be honest so less hassle. Means if i buy a D9 engine then i will be stuck with a D8 engine as well what i dont want. I have till May to get things done as i want it back on the road ready for croft in june

Just cut a hole in the bonnet and stick the bodies out Mad Max style.

Yer you will never get throttle bodies in there. The cams from catcams are £1047.20 + Vat / set, they will also do just the inlet cams for half that. Shock

As said though there isn't a huge amount you can do, I spoke to Miles about it a little while ago, he mentioned head work and some management wouldn't see amazing gains for the money.

I am very interested in the D9 on DTA management though, I assume this will run the VVT. Although apparently the D8's sound better LOL

I was about to say good luck finding a clio V6 engine, there is one on ebay Cool

Well according to guys on the 406 coupe forum running d8 exhaust cams in a d9 is worth a bit. No vvt issues then if you run a DTA. I do like the vvt kick though. The d9 is a huge amount more responsive and feels considerably more powerful. Ditching the downpipe cats could only help. You'd be knocking on for 240+ without those

Better MPG out of the D9 too. As said though, why not just stick a clio V6 engine in there, no cats on DTA would be looking at over 260 surely.

Briefly ran this past Miles, he mention the twin throttle body on the clio V6 engines maybe a problem. I shall look into this though, end of summer plans Roll eyes
