I forgot i installed the Cupra R spoilerlip last week, i took me quite some time to get it nicely fit, its still isnt 100% and i need to cut the excess on the ends, but it really looks the part!
Much much better and far more agressive then the stock lip

Plus finally my new rearspoiler arrived, and its perfect! will take it to the paintshop next week
Here a quick tryfitthingypic (thx for the help mister Ductape)

Also had a quick testfit of the rear wheels, still my new spacers havent arrived, the wheels will come a 5mm more out then this, it sucks to have flared arches, hahah

And another quicky of the carbon gloveboxpanels, gonna get some nice screws tomorrow and fix it 100%

Well, uhmm bought a 3" endtop for my complete 3" exhaust (will post some pics tomorrow)

Installed the topmounts on the KWs.

Modded my debadged grille ( needs a bit more trimming) but i blew up the dremel while cutting...

And fitted the spoiler....

Called Pieter from DP Engineering and im not going to use the MSD ingnition... standard is very good just proun to break now and then.
He said keep the standards in.

Had contact with the cagebuilders and cage nr 2 will be finished around the end of this month, and hopefully that one will fit good so we can finish the interior.
carbon doorcards should be also in around that time...

Still lots of work to do, tomorrow some better pics.. to keep this thread alive

Well, we went and testfit the engine tonight to have a look how things will go and how things will or wont fit and what needs to be modded.
It looks not that bad, well have to modifie a radiator hose, the screamerpipe will be one hell of a job though cause there really is ZERO space, so that will be fun!

Some moneyshots Wink

Next week ill start to refit the brakes and hopefully my new longer studs come in so i can mount them, and also fit the coilovers etc.

Enjoy and till next time..

Itll hold ,im not worried about that...

I know its not common in the UK , and you guys have all be doctrinated that above 250bhp you need a forged engine..

I trust the masters from DP , to not be worried, and from the projects that i know of with stock engine, and still going strong im pretty confident itll hold 400bhp with no problem.
Its been done here a lot, and proven that the stock engine though with 8:5 compression can take a lot of abuse.

Plus not to forget, tuning is key here...

on Erics S16, with 466bhp on stock engine, still no knock, EGT were perfect, they could even go higher.. and trust me that thing got more abuse then you can imagine Wink

Bas his 1.6 16v more then 400bhp, and that car still goes after 3 years of hard use!! trackdays etc, time attack...

My friends ZX with GT28RS... only decompressionplate... 330bhp all day , all night long... no issues

well see how it goes, if it blows up one time, ive got 2 spare engines, both revised and one of them already 8.5 compression, the one im using now is revised 7000km ago, and 8.1 compression.

Im not looking for a dyno queen, but i do think/find 400bhp must be the goal, Pieter said even 500BHP would be no problem, although on E85.
Wich i wont be using ....

We arent indoctrinated that we need a forged engine for more than 250hp at all.
Generally the forged engines on here have 400-450hp..
You are using a decompression plate which is hardly the same as seeing at the ones you mention at 250hp are on 10.4:1

Just saying.

Eliot, no problem but im not using a decompression plate either.

I modified the stock pistons, shaven them of (right word?) and had them weighted and matched.

Pieter said it wasnt really a problem at 8.1 but he said it would be nicer to be @ 8.5

Well have to see what method works out better, the 8.1 with the pistons or the 8.5 decomp plate method alot of people are using here in Holland.

If it blows im putting in the engine from my mates ZX with the DP sandwichplate.

Eliot, the peugs here in Holland who have a turboconversion almost every single one of them run on VEMS, the guys from DP are the VEMS mapping wizzards here in Holland.
Thats what i said before, build an 10K engine, let it map by a guy who doesnt know its thing 100% and it probably wont end well.
Even forged pistons say byebye when not mapped right.

So tuning is key.

With stockcompression i dont know what will be achievable, i will ask Pieter when i talk to him and what he thinks of it, and if he had peugs on the dyno with stock compression and turbo.

@ CJM, take it off mate Wink you know you want it

Fair enough.
Well modifying the pistons would be more ideal again.
In which case while you are running "Standard" internals I have no doubt it will be reliable enough,
I would prefer what you have done to a decomp plate if it was my own car for sure.

I would be interested to see someone try a similar idea with a charger as well Smile
