Wow this went a bit off topic, have to say your car looks great by the way.I have built two so called high boost cars just for the record, mine which was roaded at 390 at the fly at a cosworth specialists in Hinckley and a silver standard looking six which I think pug haven now has, this was never tested. I also done Marcos but his is a low boost. Don't have a clue who's car it is abroad then. Nothing to do with me Look forward to seeing your results. Lol,Carl i never stated it was one of yours, i dont even know which ones that two are and i dont care to be honest i know the world is full of socalled x amount BHP car that dont even come close to that spec irl. Thankyou for the compliment, i love your white Rallye! Indeed tracking a car is a whole other story then giving it some beans on the track. Indeed , its called hobby i guess! everybody has a vision or likes to see his/her car in this or that way, i could have bought for the money i put into this a much better looking car. But i want something that grabs me by the throat , deafens me , and that i smell like gasoline when i get out of the car after a drive. A stripped out hothatch with some nice power gives you this, and thats what im after. That experience i had in the 106 turbo ( wich wasnt that loud and had full interior) but helloo ! i was s**tfaced when he stepped on it, and after ive driven it im in love. Lets just pray that everything goes oke this week and then ill arrange some nice vids |

So.. My Mates near standard 306 gti6 was much quicker at a trackday at Llandow than a LBSC even in a straight line. Although probably mainly driving style. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Lol it must be broken then or the driver doesn't know the middle pedal from the right. My low boost has seen off many cars with far more power and as people commented was pretty f**king quick at pugfest. Would eat a standard 6 for breakfast in a straight line in 3rd gear plus. Takedown I'll be very interested to know your results. Will be looking into cost of a decomp kit from DP and possibly aim for a custom map and 350bhp next year. When actually on track power easily gets lost with exit speed etc yet on the road it's a completely different ball game. Ie my 205 can hang on the back of 400+hp turbo cars around a circuit but in a straight line on the road its left behind as my impreza leaves the 205 for dust. Owning a 360hp/400lbft, 1200kg impreza and a 230hp/190lbft 760kg 205 does have its advantages :-) I was quite suprised the torque these SC engines don't actually make. Not that I'm knocking them as still awesome. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

Yeh the torques not all that really :/. Mine made 190 lb/ft which isn't terrible. You just have to know how to drive them really e.g rev the bollox off it then keep it there through the gears lol. Things soon go backwards then Any news from DP yet then? I wanna see either an awesome noisy video or an awesome catastrophic bang fail video ________________________________________ Black power baby! I don't give a s**te whether the sc 6s have an estimated 400.2hp or 356.732hp, once your cars wheels sit in the rollers the only thing that matters is the wheel reading. Forget about accuracy and decimal points with an estimated reading. After seeing Pugfest my thought was that a some of the sc owners need to go to driving school rather than bolts parts on their cars for bragging rights. What a waste of money. |

Pieter mailed me with some good newsCar is ready for mapping, coolantleak is fixed, new thermostat fitted. Modded the flyback in the VEMS standalone , so you can open/close the injector quicker, and then its easier to finetune the engine. He didnt have time to put the car on the dyno yet, so hell start monday first thing in the morning. So hopefully hes got some good news for me when i wake up from the nightshift on monday, and we can take the trip again to Nijmegen and collect the car, if everything goes well , ill be driving the car home! |
