any one have any good tips on how to shift these as it seems pretty seized not surprising really as the drivers side torsion bar was so seized in we ended up having to take the whole trailing arm off and smash it out with a lump hammer, on inspection the splines had all rusted together  anyway any advice on the avos would be good  ________________________________________ Team Moonstone Team Working Aircon |

plus gas/rust remover and a soft wire wheel attachment on a drill to clean the threads |

Yeah, try to heat just the ring though, you don't want the blowlamp directly on the casing.Other than that, hammer and a drift. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Half cages right up to complete custom spaceframes - MSA/FIA spec, CDS, ROPT, T45, etc - PM meEmail me! Use penetrating oil and leave em for a bit, tap round the ring with a hammer to remove loose dirt, heat ring and if you can get any freeze spray apply it to the body of the shock and gradually do up and undo the ring like using a tap or die.If you haven't already, remove the coilover and undo the top mount so you take the stress away from the ring! |

Been trying to undo this ring for 3 hours today it is not moving at all anyone know what size c spanners i need. In the end i was using a 4kg lump hammer and a flat head screw driver stillnothing really need some help ________________________________________ Team MoonstoneTeam Working Aircon |

I know dude , iirc didn't the lower threaded section have a protective boot zip tied on those coilovers??I remember them Being covered in mud tho! You can get adjustable c-spanners but if unsure just measure the diameter of the nut, think most on eBay are all the same size and I would assume they would be the ones you need! |
