Currently have a bmc induction ran to the bottom of the bumper, not ideal so wondering how people have incorporated the standard air scoop etc into an Induction kit, pictures and what's been used would be swell Thumbs up

Think I've seen / heard about a people piping BMCs into the pre-existing scoop. Planning on doing it at some point on the road car.

Amazing how much room you have without a battery chris!
Unfortunately mine is still in the engine bay for the time being!

I was positive someone did the same but mounted it in the same place as the standard one somehow?
I might be mad though.

I also like what (i think) mattgti6 did,

Cut the scoop to make it bigger.
Remove box resonator and blanked it off.
made sure everything was air tight.

All standard system though obviously.

has anyone seen if a cone will fit in the standard box?
Maybe it can be modified to fit?

You can have it in the standard air box position as the standard air scoop runs down so all you need to do is modify the feed from the scoop to fit the end of the filter

Yeah,RamAir cone filter in my standard airboxWink

I've also removed the resonator and blanked off the hole,and modified the snorkel to make it a forced air intakeThumbs up

No.the ramair cone slides into the top/outlet of airbox nicely, I just put a pop rivet in it to make sure it's stays up there!!!

Have to disagree there,mine did 180bhp on a rolling road day a few people off here attendedThumbs up

Was the most powerfull car on std inlet/injection,there was a few Gti6's there running mild mods like mine to compare too.

Not entirely however it has massive fans blasting air at it which isn't considerably different... The standard scoop goes to underneath the grille does in not so it only gets what ever air it can manage to suck from between there and the bumper...

As above, big f**k off fans blowing air at the car give the same effect as a moving car!LOL

And if cutting the snorkel burgers up the airflow so much my car would not have made strong power would itThumbs up

yep very easy. I did it with my KandN then snapped the bloody studs off the box so couldnt mount it. need to weld some new studs on then alls good. Keeps the filter nice and dry and goes in the stock place

Just use the standard box with no resonator and a k+n panel filter like mine. It feels the best set up that I've tried. Wink

I could say that my old Girl made more power than most std 6's as well on a RR day, Bog std that is too,

All engine's are different
