So genuine peugeot ones are the best ones to get?

One of mine is knocking, is it recommended to replace in pairs or can you just do the one?

Any idea how much they are these days?

Then Parts25 on checkout
Pretty sure TRW are Peugeot bits anyway and it'll cost you 37 ish for the two

Are these Lemforder good ones then?

They are easy enough to change in drive way with limited tools?

Yes,
Droplinks are very accessible and if you cant get them off cut them or jck them up still they give in Smile

Pretty sure those TRW ones are what peugeot will give you though, although lemforder are fine Smile

I picked up a pair on eBay for £11 posted in October. They were identical to the ones that came off the car which looked pretty old. Only one needed doing but at that price I thought I may as well do both.

i'm not sure they'd even fit as both balljoints point the same way not opposites like the 306 ones.

When u lower a car you don't change the distance between the std height and lowered height cis the tabs are welded to the body not the ram of the damper.... So other than preloading one side for better turn in (rally or circuit racing) I don't see the benefit or why it's even relevant the only distance change is floor to side skirt distance Dunno Crazy

Don't understand what your on about there!Dunno

The ARB is mounted on the subframe, which when you lower a car the whole body/shell is lowered,so the ARB mounting point is lower.

But as WelshPug says it will just rotate in its mount,so not sure what your trying to explain?Dunno

The arb wont be level all round, it would be lower at the subframe area so longer drop links would help to level it up. Not sure how it would be affected by this though.

Ideally you'd want drop links that are longer by the same amount as the car has been lowered, yes. In reality, unless you're lowering the car a stupid amount (where drop link lengths are not the first problem you'll come across) you'll probably be fine. If you want to be really anal about it you could work out the loss in roll stiffness from having the ARB sitting at the wrong angle and use that to justify correcting the drop link lengths, but no-one would give a s**t and you would never in a million years actually notice the difference.

Probably Yes

I certainly noticed a difference in how long s**t unbranded links lasted next to my lemforder ones that are on there now

Time will tell. Like I say they appeared identical to the ones I took off which had clearly been on there for a while. Small details like the shape of the rubber boot and circlip etc.
