It's different Chris, I'll give you that LOL

At least get it colour coded if you decide to keep it 'Sleeper'. Yes

Colour coded? My new bonnet is black. Along with the norettes and grill. I like the look of the bodge on the doors, adds to the s**tter sleeper effect Cool astor grey door trims and rear bumper is a 1 off on a diablo too. Never seen it done before Wink

I went from a Nissan Skyline Forged engined R34 and when i got into the V6 pug i was well shocked at how well it performed!
I did a 40mph to 140mph speed test and uploaded it to youtube where i have videos of my Skylines speed test and the pug.exceeded the skylines time obviously the pug has.a massive power to weight ratio advantage.

I have also compared against other 40-100mph and 40-140mph speed videos with the likes of all manor of cars like tein turbo GTOs and R35 etc etc and with excellent comparisons.

Im loving my GTI V6

Nooooo I wanna see more rust more bodges worse wheels and a few little misleading stickers like a national trust membership badge that is usually reserved for old people, maybe a wee dent or 2 wouldn't go a miss Big grin

Sorry its diablo, black and grey at the minute with a bit of brown here and there LOL
No hurry for it painting but needs doing ready for the track season starting next year. Dont want to be turning up with a car the marshals are going to think is unsafe for track. Not that most of them are ever bothered Laugh my ass off

More photo updates Cool getting there. looks a bit s**tter than when i bought it but it will pay off in the end

New bonnet and tested grill

Strut brace is on

Just waiting on the morettes coming and will get them fitted along with my lightweight front panel

Anyone have any idea what size the intake pipe is from the Filter to the throttle body? Could do with changing it for a silicone one Smile Think its around 76mm but not sure?

Light weight front panel i made for my old GTI6 track toy Wink

Yes the gearbox is hydralic

That seems like a bit of a hybrid. Your pedal seems to operate a cable which actuates a clutch arm, presumably connected to nothing inside the box, whilst the operation of said arm drives the master cyl and thus slave cyl?

I assume it is a V6 box?

Is the set up above only needed if you use the v6 hyd type clutch?

As I'm sure read early ones are cable operated clutch?Dunno

Yes its a v6 box with awefull cable gear linkages what are very sloppy!
Bloke wanted £1000 at 1st for it and never sold so listed it again with a reserve of £650 and didnt sell again. I did offer him £400 LOL but got it cheap anyway at £550 so not going to complain.

Got a major oil leak at the minute. With the front shocks being broke it bottomed out over a bump last night and i think it has cracked the sump! Will see soon when i can be bothered to go down the garage and look at it. Hope my new coilovers turns up soon and think i may just make an engine tray to protect it a little as the engine hangs quite low.

the standard cable linkage should not be sloppy, so something isn't right.

Its no so much a problem its just i am use to tight gears as i have usually ran alloy linkages and a short shift. Just the throw on the leaver is quite long and you have to push to pedal right too the floor to get it into gear. Hopefully a new clutch should sort that out tho.

Just had a quick look under the car and there is a small hole in the sump that i hould be able to get welded on filled in. Going to see if i can lift the engine a few mm and make a sump guard for it as i want to lower the car a good bit as it is sitting very high on the front end

Here is the damage from last night. Not as bad as i was expecting but still a little p**sed off!

Plan to see if i can lift the engine i touch so its not hanging so low but think i am going to have to modify the sub frame so the shafts dont catch it when i fit the coilovers

you can't lift it due to the shafts and gearbox mounting.

also bonnet clearance...
