The engine is sitting quite low, loads of clearance from the bonnet, Engine is quite low compared to others i have seen.

Not sure how low the subframe has been dropped, never measured it to be honest. Also i have no idea about column? I just bought the car and drove it Laugh my ass off

from what i can see, the subframe spacers look about 25mm...iirc the gearbox mount shares the same position

as the XU setup

I will take you out in it when i get it back on the road. May just keep it in the garage till the new year and get sump sorted and clutch done. Also a few nice parts to fit and need the car painting so it dont look like them VW polos that have all different colour panels LOL

That's pretty s**tty luck about the sump, but i did wonder if you were destined for that after seeing the subframe spacer pics on OC. At least you can get it bodged.

What's the gap between sump and road?

Wonder how it affects the suspension geometry, subframe lowered by that far, plus lowering springs=bottom arm mounting points circa 50mm lower than designed to beDunno

coskev - thats a very good question. i'm still curious about the steering column. if the subframes

been lowered then whats been done to make sure the UJ is still secure?

Na, they look bigger than that from the pic i would say their 25-30mm thick and about 40mm diameter
